Bar Perdomo — Restaurant in Agaete

I can highly recommend this place for the food and stop over. We arrived quite late in the evening and were looking for accommodation for one night. We happened to talk to two young waiters (boy and girl). Both were lovely since tried their best to understand us in English. We asked about accommodation first. On the 1st floor there are two rooms (one with a double bed, and one with two beds). The owner is Antonio. Rooms are basic, but all clean as well as shower facilities. We paid 50€ for two persons and it included breakfast. For breakfast we could choose any dish from menu (even two dishes) and got fresh orange juice and coffees. We also had a dinner that night at this place. Food is tasty and not expensive. Hint: take half portions. On overall, great experience! The owner is incredibly friendly and generous. While he may not speak much English, it’s clear that he puts a lot of heart into the experience, even if some foreign visitors might not pick up on it right away. The food and coffee may not compare to a Michelin-starred restaurant or a professional café, but the charm of this place lies in how it feels like visiting your grandpa’s home during a summer vacation. You can tell the food is made with genuine care and love.

It is ok if you would like to have some meal after 4 km walk. As I understood, this place is mostly for local workers. If you would like to have local experience, whatever it will be, try it 😅

I order fish with Canarian potatoes 🥔. The fish was semi-warm, but hope it was cooked the same day 😂
