Terraza Lamarlo — Restaurant in Albox

I had heard this was a typical Spanish restaurant and from the onset that was evident and we were all looking forward to a great night with friends and of course great Spanish food experience.

The initial waiter was attentive (but there were only 2 tables eating at that time) and friendly, our 2nd waiteress gave us the impression that she did not wish to be there and that we were an inconvenience. The menu was exstensive but bereft of any solid or tangible description of what was to be presented to us, the translation of the menu in english left a lot to be desired(it was Google translated obviously) We opted for the Platter of cheese, Platter of Pates and Platter of preserved meats, all were presented on wooden boards and presentation was....OK and I doubt very much if any of this was created in-house (all products were purchased pre-made).

Our main course was surprisingly tasty considering it was presented so blandly and looked tired and bought the word "uninspiring" to an all new level. We had Pork Fillet, Smoked fish, Cod & Pork Belly. Thats exactly what it said on the menu and thats exactly what was served. The whole meal with drinks came to 125:50€ for 4 people. we had previously eaten at "Blush" in Albox and what we had experienced there had surpassed with great leaps what we had experience here. Our Bill at Blush was 30€ cheaper.

Having been a Chef for over 30 years, I do have high expectations, but this was ridiculously expensive for what you got. I/We will not return.

If you want to experience Spanish cuisine at its finest - give this place a miss BUT if you wish to spend your hard earned money on bland looking food served by a waitress that wishes you were not there and then have the honor of being charged way over the odds for all of it, then...

What a wonderful Spanish experience. Set in a stunning little courtyard this restaurant is wonderful. From the moment we arrived everyone was so helpful despite the language barrier, the menu was a little awkward to navigate and understand but with a little Google translate we managed to order some food, and we were not disappointed I had a wonderful 500g steak that was cooked to perfection, we ordered a number of different dishes to try a bit of what we could, we are so glad we found this little delight and have recommended it to our friends who live out there and hadn't tried it, hope to...

Went to Terraza Lamarlo, Saturday 3/02/24, afternoon. Was amazed at the number of family groups arriving. Street parking taken quickly. My first time attending, with a friend. The restaurant has amazing space and ambience. Was seated, in minutes. Staff, bi-lingual, very courteous and helpful. Menu, great selection, from starters to salads and mains.
