Ruta De Lorca — Restaurant in Alfacar

Warning: if you are taller than 175 cm (5’9” ft), look for another place to stay because you won’t fit into the beds, you will bump your head against the ceiling lamp, and the bathroom is probably too small since you can’t sit on the toilet and don’t fit into the shower. ||||For our stay in Granada, we decided to stay 2 nights in Alfacar near Granada. We booked 2 nights at the Hospederia Ruta de Lorca. Main criteria - beside at least a standard, basic hotel room - were convenient accessibility by car, the availability of parking space at the hotel for our rental car, a bus connection to the city centre and decent WLAN/internet connection. ||||Unfortunately, these criteria were not met by Hospederia Ruta de Lorca. The WLAN/internet connection didn’t function at all, although we stayed in 2 different rooms at different floors. Even in the corridors, at the front desk or in the restaurant we were not able to find a functioning WLAN/internet connection. ||||The bus connection to the city centre doesn’t exist, unless you want to travel for hours and change buses all the time. Without a rental car (Alcafar is conveniently located near the motorway), you better stay away from Alfacar and book a hotel in Granada. The parking space is some unattractive waste land near the Hospederia which is very dark at night. ||||The staff at the Hospederia and restaurant is very friendly, but they only speak Spanish and no English, French, German or whatever other modern language. That’s a shame, because especially the lady wo manned the front desk (the reception is only open 1 hour per day or so) was very helpful but couldn’t always make clear to us what she meant. Although when we asked in our best Spanish for a new room since the bed in the old one was much too small, we were given another room without delay and she did everything to help us.||||The clean rooms are small but they offer all the necessary basics, including a small flat screen TV, A/C and heating. We even were provided with an additional electric heater fan. The Hospederia paid attention to the interior and while we were here, they were refurbishing some of the bathrooms. ||||Although the rates were more than fair and the friendly staff was very helpful, I definitely won’t come back here, because of the cons. Therefore just a 1* rating. However, if you are tall/taller, don’t mind small rooms, speak sufficient Spanish, have a rental car and you don’t need any WLAN/internet connection at all, the Hospederia might be something to consider. If not, you better look for something...

Pésimo servicio, el camarero tiene exceso de confianza y poco respeto a los clientes. El vino que te ponen en el menú es falso rioja relleno en una botella. Cuando pedimos postre no nos informaron los que se incluían en el menú y los que no, aumentando el precio final. Y para más sorpresa nos intentaron colar más dinero a pagar de un postre que no pedimos. Recomiendo evitar parar en este lugar. Respuesta al propietario: Estimado/a propietario/a, todas las justificaciones son falsas. El riquísimo vino marqués de atrio crianza nos lo sirvieron en una botella comenzada (aproximadamente medio volumen de la botella) y con tapón de plástico (algo sospechoso para un vino rioja). Cuando fuimos a pagar nos intentaron colar un postre extra y reclamamos los otros postres que no nos informó su camarer@ previamente, sin tener una ayuda por su parte. Además tramitamos una hoja de reclamaciones oficial en días posteriores, obteniendo una respuesta negativa por su parte y sin ninguna ayuda/solución. Por lo que veo, la hoja de reclamaciones no sirve de mucho, al contrario que una opinión pública. No a tod@s los clientes nos gusta el trato "amigable" y compadreo de los camarer@s. Me reafirmo en lo comentado, nos intentaron y consiguieron estafarnos. Puntuación 0,00.

Estidamdo/a señor propietario, estoy seguro de que lo comentado ha ocurrido en su restaurante en Alfacar, tuvimos el gusto de comer en la estupenda terraza que tiene disponible en su local en la primera planta en junio de 2018. No olvidaré esa nefasta experiencia proporcionada por...

¡No le pongo más estrellas porque no hay!

Un sitio maravilloso desde que entras, con sonrisas y un trato excepcional, amable, profesional y cercano.

La variedad de platos de la carta es amplia y bastante original, incluye platos que no encuentras en otros restaurantes normalmente.

Tienen 4 ó 5 variedades de platos veganos. En mi caso, pedí una ensalada de quinoa con salsa de piquillos que estaba maravillosamente buena y venía con muchas verduritas salteadas. Un disfrute total para mi paladar.

El resto de la mesa pidió pulpo, rabo de toro, etc y la calidad de los platos era impresionante. Según comentaban, ni en la playa, en sitios especializados, se habían comido un pulpo como el que les pusieron en La Ruta de Lorca. También pidieron foie con huevo y tostas y lo preparó en la mesa el mismo Juan Diego (hijo) con una profesionalidad y una gracia incomparables.

Fuimos a celebrar un cumpleaños y sacaron un trozo enorme de “Tarta de la abuela” con vela encendida y todo, a lo que se sumó a cantar todo el restaurante el “Cumpleaños feliz”. Y, además, nos pusieron un surtido de helados.

El baño estaba bastante limpio y el papel no se agotó en toda mi estancia (fui varias veces 🤣).

Los precios son medios/asequibles.

Como resumen, una experiencia espectacular que recomiendo a todo el mundo (incluyendo veganos)
