So much creativity combined with flavor and respect for local products, at a bargain price and super warm reception included. Long live Casa Piolas!

Casa Piolas is located in a small village in the Andalusian hills. Between Cordoba, Granada and Malaga, in thé olive oil region, endless winding roads through the beautiful countryside will take you to Algarinejo. Besides the fact that the destination Casa Piolas in itself is highly worth a visit, the path to the location is also worthwhile. What a beautiful area!

The reception you get here is incredibly warm and friendly, you feel immediately at home and instantly welcome.

The driving forces of this place are chef José Caracuel Gamez and his wife Teresa. They stand for a local approach that explodes with creativity, tradition and quality.

Here, everything is about truly and passionately enjoying in a sustainable way. At Casa Piolas, they like to work with as many local products as possible. These are bought from people with an extensive know-how and with whom the team has a personal and close contact. They have for example their own olive oil in cooperation with Orodeal.

The ultimate gastronomical experience at Casa Piolas is the Menú de Degustación. The experience is first and foremost expressed in terms of time and only later in terms of courses, which is respectively 150 minutes and 15 courses.

What an enthusiasm and creativity, combined with courage and taste, and all of that at a bargain price and with a very warm reception, not to mention the beautiful surroundings. If you are in Andalusia, Casa Piolas cannot be left out of your...

This place is nothing short of amazing. One of the most incredible meals I've ever eaten, maybe even the very best. Extraordinary creativity, flawless execution, beautiful presentation: the chef is nothing short of a genius. (And extremely engaging in person as well!)

All the staff were lovely and whilst only one knew a limited amount of English they took great care to explain in detail what we were being presented with and went over and above to make us feel extremely welcome - despite our knowing little more than a handful of words of Spanish between us.

We had the 12 course tasting menu with the paired drinks and what an incredible journey it was. Very memorably it started with a brilliant array of different creations all themed around the olive - the one thing which the whole town revolves around. After that there was even a course featuring what looked like an olive but wasn't! Sometimes clever and creative isn't backed up by delicious and well balanced but not the case here. Even the paired drinks didn't stick wholly to wine and included a vermouth and a beer, which complemented their respective courses perfectly.

What a privilege to have been able to experience this. Travel to Algarinejo just to eat here; come to Spain just for this,...

We spent a week in Andalusia and this meal was the highlight of our trip - a completely outstanding culinary experience!

The presentation is artful and delicious, with a storytelling theme that sets the stage for the meal. Small and interesting plates that build and create a very satisfying meal.

Completely gluten-friendly (if that is important to you).

We have been telling everyone how wonderful - and delicious - the experience was. Cannot recommend this place enough.

There is parking on the square, though navigating the streets to this hilltop town id an adventure. Casa Paola’s makes it all worth...

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the goats cheese, almonds (which turned out to be walnuts) and honey. There was some misunderstanding when pointing at the English menu as to what actually then arrived. I appreciate that Spanish people like to take time over their food but 3hrs to eat lunch was slightly ridiculous. Thankfully there were plenty of nibbly bits provided throughout the meal, but after 2hrs I really just wanted to get back to the pool!

Amazing restaurant about an hour's drive from Iznájar. This restaurant typically does a tasting menu, which is about 7 - 10 different small plates paired together for a really fun experience. You can also pair with wines, which I highly recommend. Service was superb, overall a fantastic end to our holiday in Spain!
