Restaurante Los Arcos — Restaurant in Alhaurín el Grande

We used to to go to Los Arcos frequently for the menu del dia. Though, it was a great service for a long time with mostly good food, we found the service to be extremely slow when they took on some young servers. Though we had our food delivered, we wasnt given cultery so I collected myself by taking from the inside tables. Then we didnt have drinks which we had ordered? We recently found, or so we were told, it had new management with a new menu del dia. Now we have been twice and we have to say, food and service was good. A lot of food for the 3 course, including a drink and bread, for 10.99€. Next time we go and we will ask for the dessert to be delayed for a while as we got very stufffed quickly. I agree with another comment about the incense, or sticks of burning purfume, in the bar, indoor eating area to be too much, sickly and puts you off your food. Luckily, we eat outside but did notice the strong smell when going in with our order. By the way, they go a great tropical salad with fresh fruits, salads, avocado and lovely fried prawns...yum yum. Sad place unfortunately. Looks tired and in need of a makeover. The place stunk of strong burning incense and had to sit at the bar away from the burning sticks. My stool was wobbly and had to change seats with my partner who didn't mind as his feet touch the ground lol. Breakfast was pricey compared to other places of this sort and didn't enjoy due to the pong of the incense. Bar girl had no idea of what an American coffee was and said she'd never heard of it. A very promising menu was very deceptive. Menu states 3 courses with drinks for €12.95. Not true. Apparently that was changed last year. Food was dreadful. Service was non existent in spite of best efforts of waiter. No cutlery. Fish raw, steak inedible, chips raw and greasy. Desserts not available. Tables stinking dirty. Complained. Absolutely not a single care given. It would have been an hilarious experience had it not been for the deceptive pricing. Never again! €45 for 3 people with 3 soft drinks and 80% of food left....
