I have to be honest and say the initial contact was not the best. I called them to reserve a table for a few evenings but then, when they understood I was not able to speak Spanish, without some type of excuse the call was disconnected. This is the reason I can not give 5 stars for service.
With the help of our guide (to watch the lynxes) we gave it another try. I emailed them using Google translate and we managed to book the table without problems.
We dined three evenings, and indeed they only open up at 20:30. I see quite a few comments about this late hour. But google up 'dining in spain' and you will quickly see that this is a normal time for dinner in Spain. "When you go to Rome, do as the Romans". Do not expect things to be as they are where you come from. Just go with the flow, and experience local culture!
In the restaurant we used the Google translate app. Both for reading the menu as well as communication with the staff. They were very friendly and cooperated without problems to communicate with us this way.
Over three evenings we tried out several dishes, starters and desserts. All were served fast (15 minutes or so) and were prepared really well. We were given bread and olives with every meal. For us (Dutch folk) the prices were more then reasonable.

Read moreWhat can I say: what a great place with superb service. The restaurant was full, yet we were offered I place to eat at the bar. We had Octopus (photo), Foie Gras and Grandmother's Tomatos and two home made desserts. Each dish deserves a 5 out of 5 stars. Grandmother's Tomatos was so delicious, as was everything. Furthermore the staff deserves a 6 out of 5 stars. Never have I seen a restaurant crew work so hard and yet they were always friendly and heldfull to all the customers. In terms of gastronomy, this is absolutely a hidden gem a bit of beaten track you and your stomach definitely don't...
