LES MAGNÒLIES — Restaurant in Arbúcies

This restaurant has been in business for 22 years. The refurbishment 10 years ago is modern and appropriate. The menu is difficult to explain. They have what they call snacks... really a taster...so if you opt for a collection of snacks the price goes up but your not satisfied.... if it were the degustation with wine for a set price that would have been good . I couldn't even order 2 entree size meals so opted for the fish of the day... which was fine. Service is excellent... but it was mid week I didn't see a wine menu but trusted the staff who worked out a suitable wine. If your near Arbucies it's worth...

It's a restaurant with 1 star from Micheline, however, not all 1-star restaurants are the same. This one here is in the top of this class, definitely! The "short after Christmas" menu we had was outstanding at least. 14 dishes, all nicely prepared, incredible in taste and combined with lots of local food did not leave any room for discomfort. It was served without any rush, so we almost spent 3 hours of enjoying their hospitality . It looks like they want to receive this year the 2nd star, I wish them and chef Victor luck and are quite sure, it could happen now after 11...

Qui digui que d'un restaurant amb estrella Michelin sempre se'n surt amb gana es que no ha visitat Les Magnòlies. Vam fer Menú Degustació complet per sopar i vam sortir mes que tips. Molt bon servei, menció especial per la cambrera que ens va atendre la major part del àpat: agradable, simpàtica i atenta sense caure en allò d'estar sempre a sobre del comensal que pot acabar fent-se pesat, en aquest cas tot al contrari. Felicitats i gracies pel servei. Pel que fa al menjar, molt a l'alçada del que esperes d'un restaurant d'aquesta categoria. Plats de producte sense artificis, equilibrats i molt saborosos. Els que mes vam gaudir, els "Bolets de temporada amb pastanaga i cansalada" i la "Bouillabaisse amb lluç, tomàquet confitat i les tartaletes", espectaculars. Els que menys, la "Cua de bou" un pel sec pel nostre gust, i el "Xuixo de sobrassada" que tot i ser molt original i estar molt bo es fa bastant pesat de menjar despres d'11 plats i això fa que no l'acabis de disfrutar. En quant a lo negatiu, un parell de detalls menors. Vam trobar a faltar que els propietaris s'acostessin a la taula per interessar-se si tot estava anant be. Estaven per allà i no ho van fer i crec que son detalls que s'han de cuidar en un restaurant d'aquesta categoria, interessar-se de primera ma pel client per fer l'experiència menys freda i mes propera. I finalment l'aigua i els cafès que no entren en el menú. Creiem també que com a mínim els cafès haurien d'entrar en un menú degustació d'aquesta categoria. Tot i això, experiència mes que satisfactòria....
