We just discovered your restaurant a few days before we left and made a reservation for the day before we left the island because the menu looked great and we noticed to be more fond of Italian than Spanish food.

The atmosphere is both professional and leger / cozy. Especially we liked to look outside from the inside between two houses at the sea. The kitchen is in the same room as the dining tables and every now and then you hear and smell the grill and get excited about what is coming to your or your neighbours table. Ah and you have a good music taste!

We ordered the grilled sea food plate and the tagliatelle with gambas, guincale and pistacchio cream. As a start we had the best Mojo of our stay so far - which was kinda weird being actually in an Italian restaurant ;) Both our main dishes exceeded our expectations - grilled on point and absolutely delicious was everything on the plate. And the pasta combination - pistacchio, gambas, guanciale, tomato and fresh pasta - was sooooo good, easy and harmonic. The pana cotta was a little too liquid like but the sweet and milky taste was just what we needed after the sea food.

We really appreciated that we tasted and felt the heart - in the dishes and also in the sometimes a little funny but very sweet decoration - which touristic areas often miss.

Please stay the way you are. Your resto is beautiful and a delight for everyone who just looks out for exceptional but down to earth sea food! It felt like a warm hug from an auntie. Thank you for making our last night...

Sadly, my experience at Blanco Mar has been poor both in terms of the food and the attitude of the chef. The waiter was, very pleasant and tried to do his best.

We arrived at 8pm looking forward to the pasta meal deal which we did not quite understand what we would receive but a little mystery is not a bad thing. However, the first pasta dish was adequate if underwhelming with 3 prawns and a basic sauce. The second pasta dish was too salty to eat and had the same simple sauce and type of pasta.

My companion had ordered the Iberico Secreto which arrived 1 hour after the order and just as out second dish arrived.

I took the pasta dish back to tell them about the salt content and at the same time to inform them that the other food (chips) were also over salted.

The waiter did offer another dish but I decided against that. Unfortunately the chef took offence at our criticism and pointed out that as "Brits" we had no idea how fish would or should be cooked.

I left the restaurant leaving 10 euro for the meal. I do not mind problems with food and understand that there are times when things do not go to plan but do not insult your customers, learn to accept that sometimes you are not...

The gentleman serving, probably the owner, tries to persuade you to eat anything (he brought extra bread without mentioning that it was a paid item). The shrimp were very good, but the price was 16.50 euros for six pieces. The bruschette was awful; you couldn't taste anything except the balsamic sauce, of which there was a huge amount. Furthermore, this "bruschette" was just slices of bread with seeds. The pasta with shrimp wasn't very tasty, and there were only three shrimp in the entire dish. The potatoes were good. The surroundings are nice, but the place isn't so beautiful. The price clearly doesn't match...

Really delicious pasta. 😋 it is situated in a quiet village and would be a drive for many. The menus are in multiple languages, mainly consists of pastas and other seafood dishes. We had mixed salad - it was delicious while I think they can dial down on the chia seeds as it makes people full. Octopus was great except it was oddly paired with bowl of potatoes. There were almost 10 potatoes in the basket. Perhaps it is the canarian way. The prices were not cheap but absolutely reasonable for the quality.

Quiet, cozy, small and discreet restaurant run by an Italian couple serving their homemade Italian food as well as fresh seafood and fish locally sourced. Welcoming, warm, light-hearted and jolly. Sea views stretching across the tiny street and out to the blue Atlantic. Excellent Sangria, delicious grilled seafood platter and mushroom croquettes. Decent prices.
