Hostal-Restaurant Muntanya — Restaurant in Artesa de Segre

I stayed here last March for a week whilst climbing in the area and enjoyed my stay so much I went back for another week a couple of weeks later.The hostal was clean and comfortable and the food provided in the bar/restaurant downstairs was really nice and amazing value; it cost around £32/person for our dinner, bed and breakfast and the evening meal had 3 courses and a half bottle of wine each! The father and son who worked front of house could not have been friendlier. Called in today for a coffee in the way back to the airport and said hello...nice to see the owner who remembered me and was friendly even though we hadn't stayed this time. If you are climbing in the area, well worth giving...

Viajamos en bicicleta hacia el Pirineo. Llamamos previamente para reservar y preguntamos si podíamos subir las bicicletas a la habitación o tenían sitio para guardarlas. Nos dijeron que si, que sin problema. Cuando llegamos nos enseñaron dónde dejar las bicis y era un pàrquing en la calle, abierto sin vigilancia. Por supuesto las bicis fueron a la habitación con nosotros a escondidas.

Habitación limpia, cutre, pero limpia. El aire acondicionado no lo podías poner menos frío de 21 grados. Si lo ponías, a la media hora lo tenías que apagar porque la habitación era el polo norte y si lo parabas te cocías.

Cenamos en el propio restaurante. Comida normal, correcta, calidad igual a cualquier menú que te puedas comer en cualquier bar del mundo o puede que peor. Agua, Vino y gaseosa incluidos en el menú. La gaseosa no llegó. La pedimos y nos la cobraron a parte.

Desayuno: De 8:30 a 9:00. En un hostal de montaña. Increíble pero cierto.

Nos fuimos en ayunas para poder aprovechar el día.

Creo que no és un sito con algo para volver. Si vas de paso y no tienes alternativa porque toda la oferta disponible en la zona està completa, pues lo coges y una ducha caliente y un catre para dormir tienes...
