Bright and cheerful restaurant. Proprietor was lovely, warm, and conversational. Food and wine were great. Dinner is served a little bit earlier than other restaurants. If you are lucky enough to get Jay as your waiter, you will be well cared for. We found that helpful as we were walking the Camino and did not want to wait until 9, which is when Barr Luis was serving dinner. By the way, he also has a Posada behind the restaurant which...

Tried to stop here for a drink and a water refill. There were three staff members there when I arrived. I waited at the bar for three minutes and none of them even acknowledged me. So I left and took my business elsewhere. Unfortunate experience.

Edit: To back up other people's experience I was on the Camino and they obviously didn't like the look of me. Unfortunate as I'm actually quite a nice Irishman but their loss was somebody...

This is probably the only restaurant that is open in Güemes at dinner. The waitress is nice in general and the place comfy. The major problem is that they served my food cold, which is strange since it was a very expensive dish and even the fries were cold like 30 minutes cold after cooking. That was very dissapoting for a hungry caminante hoping to try the Spanish food. On the other hand their deserts...

We stopped in at la Terraza after a long hot day on the El Camino de Santiago. We stayed at the Posada behind the restaurant. Roberto provided two beautiful plates of food with our cold beers even though it was his day to rest. He is one of the kindest and most considerate hosts we have met. Roberto can talk to you in Spanish, French, English so we had no trouble talking with him.
