Restaurante la Font — Restaurant in Barx

Truly one of the best restaurants in the area. This is a simple unpretentious Spanish Bar. It serves pizzas, fish, meat and tapas. What really marks it out from the rest is the great atmosphere and the owners, the couple running this place are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

My wife is vegetarian which the Spanish generally don't get, but here they did a pizza without cheese and a salad without tuna (this last is almost unheard of because tuna in spain counts as a vegetable!). I had a massive piece of swordfish cooked with a little parsley oil, hand cut thin chips cooked in olive oil and a roasted green pepper on the side for 7 Euros, the pizza was 4 Euros.

We went back and the owner made a point of saying 'welcome back' and although neither he nor his wife speaks much english, they are used to tourists passing through and have copies of the menu in English, French and German.

The place is decorated in colourful tiles in the eating area and the coffee is the cheapest you'll get at a euro a cup while still being great quality and fantastic taste.

Buenas! Hicimos una salida en bici. Almorzamos allí. Me encanto que tuvieran una zona para guardar las bicicletas videovigilada. Ojalá se extienda está práctica. Medio bocata+bebida+cremaet 5euritos. Además recibimos un buen trato. No le doy las 5 estrellas porque para mí parecer el medio era corto y algo caro. También porque nos sirvieron cacaos en el mismo plato que altramuces y terminaban los cacaos mojados y no me resultó agradable. Pero en resumen, me gustó y lo recomiendo. Espero visitarlo próximamente y darles las...
