La Venta de Benifato — Restaurant in Benifato

Lucky this restaurant is on the way to my country cabin in Confrides. Find it on the CV 70 Between Benimantel and Benifato. Coming from the coast its on your left. About 1/2 a Km before the Benifato Corner. Great eating indoors and in summer outdoors. Where you get the marvellous aroma of wood burning BBQ. I recommend all the BBQ meat. However for your main meal please try the roast shoulder of lamb. On Sat and Sun. Very busy all day. So i suggest you book. Other days you should get a table if there is not too many of you. Beautifull scenery outdoors. Green trees and if you sit facing North the Benifato Mesa. A western cinema mountain which really belongs in Arizona.Except foir the Castle on top. Make sure sure driver is a non drinker as its a winding road all the way from Benidorm. No dogs allowed inside the restaurant. But there are over fifteen...

On my little road trip trough the area between Sella and Polop is was looking for a place to eat lunch when I stumbled upon this kind and authentic grillmaster, I knew i had found the place for me by the smile and smell. I got a seat near the grill, enjoyed the fumes from the BBQ and the view of the hillside across the valley, serene enough to forget the passing traffic. A delightful meal, great wine and an excellent coffee later I continued my drive with fond memories of friendly polite staff in a clean environment, regretting my decision to not buy olive oil from the little room with local products. This mountain restaurant a few kilometres from the tourist hotspot of El Castell de Guadelest is a pleasant surprise. With its BBQ grill and outside terraced area it is a welcome relief from the busy village below. The menu of the day was a reasonable price (23e for 3 courses) and the quality was very good.
