Visiting Trull d’en Francesc felt like discovering a hidden gem in the countryside. The restaurant’s setting is peaceful and authentic, with a refined yet unpretentious atmosphere.

The tasting menu is a revelation—delicate arrangements of flavours, each plate whispering rather than shouting. There’s creativity but also deep respect for tradition, especially evident in the vegetable‑first courses.

This restaurant is clearly overrated. We were disappointed: the signature dish (roast duck) had been cooked much earlier and then reheated. It’s worth noting that it was extremely dry. Also, its appearance did not match what the restaurant shows on Google. My wife ordered the grilled duck breast — again, the same story: almost burnt on the outside, and nothing like the pictures. We were too hungry (after a 900 km drive) to argue, but we definitely won’t come back here. A water place in the middle of a desert is called an oasis. This is in the middle of wood and green country but somehow it is an oasis. An oasis of great food, wine and most importantly service.

We landed up without a booking at exact opening time at 1230 and were seated promptly.

Service by David all through was exceptional.

For food we had the cheese platter. My friend being vegetarian had a large list to choose from. Don't remember what he got but he liked it.

I had the pig trotters with the sauce. It was huge- couldn't finish it. For dessert we went with the strawberry with fresh cream.

The wine list is huge. We took a Mallorca wine-12 Volt.
