Cafetería Meliz — Restaurant in Broto

I lost count of the number of times I came here during my stay in the town. The food here is fantastic and the portions are very generous! I particularly liked the side of chips that came with most meals. I know that probably sounds absurd, but you have to try the chips from this place.

The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I came to this area during a very busy period and this place was always full. You couldn't book in advance and so on some occasions I had to wait for a table. It was...

Not really a friendly place. We speak fluently English and French and tried to reserve a table here, in Spanish as good as we could. The owner could not understand us really good and behaved like a jerk. If you don't speak 1 word of English and are impatient and rude by nature while running a restaurant (which was not even open yet), it's maybe better to consider another career. A big "thumbs down"...

El sábado estuve con unos amigos y mi mujer comiendo allí. Nos sentamos en una mesa al lado de la barra y mi mujer se levantó a pedir las primeras consumiciones. Ella se dirigió al camarero más mayor (tendría unos treinta y tantos...),que estaba en la barra y muy amablemente le pidió que cuando tuviera un momento le atendiera. Esté, levantó la cabeza y de muy malas maneras, le dijo que se diera prisa que tenía mucho trabajo. Cuando trajo las consumiciones a la mesa,la vió y fue ahí donde se dió cuenta de que íbamos a comer en el restaurante y entonces le pidió perdón porque pensaba que solo iba a pedir en barra. Mi queja es para este camarero, nosotros tenemos negocio y cuando una persona cruza el umbral del mismo se convierte automáticamente en cliente, independientemente de lo que consuma;no se hace distinción, todo el mundo merece nuestra mejor sonrisa y mejor trato. Una pena la verdad,el resto de camareros, todos muy jóvenes fueron encantadores,la comida muy buena también. Sólo esperamos que no le haga pasar a nadie otro...
