The good food experience was ruined by the waiter who tried to intentionally overcharge us. Upon paying the bill, I confirmed the correct amount three times (it included a 10% tip), but the waiter pretended he didn’t hear or didn’t understand (even though he understood perfectly when we were ordering) and tried increasing the amount a few times. In the end, he added himself more than 30% tip, which I thought was a joke until I saw the receipt. The whole thing felt very choreographed and I suspect guests (who are served by him) routinely pay more than they want to tip because of his “honest” mistakes. Quite simply one of the best places we've ever eaten. The staff made us and our 3 kids very welcome. We were undecided on which steaks to have and one of the chaps advised us on what to go for and honestly it couldn't have been better. A whopping great t-bone that was seasoned perfectly and tasted sublime, simply served with chips and a few veggies. There is also a small paraffin hot plate on each table for anyone who would prefer their pieces of steak more well done. Our steak was perfectly rare. We walked here on a Saturday night on spec with no booking. The staff were very welcoming and treated us so well. I took the recommendation of the waiter and had the Argentina steak. It was seared lightly on the grill and was served with a hot stone at the table for me to finish cooking it to my liking. It was an absolutely amazing steak. My partner had the grilled chicken which was also exceptional. The garlic mushroom starter was lovely too. All washed down with a very nice Canarian rose.
