Our experience at Tasca Restaurante Mar y Luna was nothing short of fantastic. It was, without a doubt, the culinary highlight of our time in Tenerife. The only minor disappointment was the vegetable soup, which lacked the same burst of flavor that the rest of our meal delivered.
To kick things off, the gazpacho was a revelation. It was not only delicious on its own but also came with extra vegetables to personalize the dish, which was a delightful touch. The warm bread, complemented by oil and cheese paste, was the perfect start to our meal.
The owner's warm welcome added a personal touch to our dining experience. She went out of her way to accommodate our group, ensuring the children were comfortable with extra chairs, even providing one with an extra plastic box to raise the child. Lastly she provided plastic plates, spoon and fork.
The menu at Tasca Restaurante Mar y Luna offers both a basic selection and a board with additional daily specials available until they run out. We decided to try the lamb, duck breast, and pork knuckle. Each dish was a revelation in taste and tenderness. The duck was the lightest option, while the lamb and pork were exceptionally tender. Paired with a red wine from Tenerife, the flavors were exquisite.
In summary, Tasca Restaurante Mar y Luna is a must-visit for those looking for an exceptional dining experience in Tenerife. The food quality and taste are remarkable, and the owner's hospitality adds a personal and welcoming touch. At around 35€ per person, it's an excellent value for the culinary experience you receive. Read moreWell, first of all, it's in the middle of nowhere. The food is not that fantastic. The atmosphere is comfy, I think this place is very overpriced. The food was not that Great. At least for me and my family. It's pretty inside small, clean but, it's overpriced. As for the food, let's say for me at least was not the best place average. I was there leads than a month ago, I can honestly tell you. Overpriced and was. It that wonderful. However, we are all different I guess. However, for me. Not good. We tried many things. The worst ropa vieja I ate. Sorry but that the truth. Sauces fine cheese normal, my and my husband food was average. Very overpriced. The wine is good. Other than that there are other better places in the village before this one. This is my honest opinion. Friendly staff but, overpriced and presentation, good however, not the best experience. With the food. It's all in the taste. Needs abit more I think, taste. Also prices too high. For what you get. Especially as it is small and the...
Read moreThe interior is quite nice. Unfortunately, the fish i ordered didnt have much taste at all, but cost 29€
We ordered a shrimp appetizer, then each of us a meal. In the end we still felt hungry, so we ordered croquetes. After 10min, they were brought to us (there was only one other couple at the restaurant). Mine was still frozen in the center. They took away the dish to prepare it again. Sadly, this took another 10minutes. We weren't offered any kind of compensation for this: no discount, no free dessert. Furthermore, the croquetes were not that tasty in my opinion. Maybe its a special spanish dish, but felt like mashed potatos in bread crumbs, but fish flavor.
We both felt a bit sick after and had to eat a chocolate bar in the car to get rid of the taste and feeling. Overall we payed over 30€ per person. A strange experience.
The shrimp starter was amazing though
We had a nice laugh when the same song was played again, right after it finished playing. Happened 3...
