Mesón La Estrella — Restaurant in Busot

We were on our way down from rock climbing in Cabeçò d'Or when we stopped for having some snack and a beer. The menu was very tempting, and we went for it. Only 12e per person including: 1st course, 2nd course, one drink, desert and coffee. They were so nice to adapt the 'Menú del día' to include a second no-meat course for our vegetarian friend. The service was incredible good. We liked a lot how genuinely interested they were in making us comfortable and to ensure a great experience. We had two extra drinks and some cheese with bread as a starter. The quality of the food was great. Salad felt refreshing, calamari were on point, 'emperador' was tasty and juicy. Pork was also tasty and juicy. The sausages were very good, fatty, and juicy as well. The fries and the fried egg included on the second plate were very good. Deserts were 'de la casa' (homemade). We had tiramisu, arroz con leche, and the flan de turron. If you need to pick up only one, we would recommend flan de turron 100%. In total, we had for three people: the three menus (with all what it includes), two extra drinks, and cheese. Total 48e. 16e per person.

Na eerst volgens google maps geleid te zijn naar een verkeerde locatie hebben we dankzij 2 vriendelijke locals de juiste plaats gevonden. We waren daar op een maandagavond en werden hartelijk ontvangen. We werden bediend door een jongedame die zeer goed Engels sprak en ons telkens enthousiast aansprak. We waren omringd door locals die ons allemaal vriendelijk begroetten. We kozen verschillende tapas welke ze mooi na elkaar brachten met telkens voldoende pauze om na te genieten. Vervolgens kwam ons hoofdgerecht, we kozen voor de suggesties (welke niet op de kaart stonden) en we werden zeer aangenaam verrast. Als laatste kozen we de de taart van het huis (da amandeltaart) welke ook heerlijk was.
