The Posta de Sol restaurant in Calafell was a significant disappointment and turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. From the start, I encountered unprofessional service and poorly prepared dishes.
The llama meat I ordered was raw inside. When I pointed this out, they brought me another plate. Unfortunately, despite the waitress apologizing and assuring me the dish would be replaced at no extra charge, I was billed for both meals. The spaghetti was swimming in oil and fat, making it almost inedible. The mussels were tiny, tasteless, and definitely not worth their price.
The lasagna was clearly reheated, and the pasta with mushrooms and sauce resembled a milky dish more than a mushroom one. The sauce was far from what one would expect from the menu description. The sangria, for which I paid a steep 18 euros, contained only two slices of orange with no other citrus fruits, resulting in a poor, lackluster flavor.
In summary, Posta de Sol fails to meet the standards expected from a restaurant in its category. The quality of the food and service is below par, and the prices are entirely unjustified for the dishes offered. I was deeply disappointed by my visit and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a well-prepared and...
Read moreWe had dinner here few nights ago and it was awful. My husbands steak (Argentinian style!) was dry and very overcooked as they bring you a grill to grill it yourself. But it’s already very overcooked by the time it comes to the table. My daughter’s burger was horrible, the bun was stale and the meat was hard and very dry. My sea bream was supposed to be grilled but in fact it tasted poached and really not nice to eat. The restaurant was busy and understaffed, people were complaining and leaving which sadly was not staffs fault. They were overstretched and extremely stressed out. I genuinely have not been in worse restaurant before. I highly recommend NOT to go there! Don’t waste your money as you’ll leave...
Read moreCannot possibly say enough good things about this place. Great value; Excellent quality across a diverse menu; Fantastic service, and a stunning view of the beach and sunsets from the beachside patio seating. We live here in Segur de Calafell and this is one of our top three go-to spots. The parilla items, presented on a grill at your table are consistently excellent (though be sure to finish them to taste at the table) and the gambas al ajillo (shrimp in olive oil and garlic) are done to perfection. All of the tapas are tasty making it hard to choose each time we visit. Lunch and dinner are available on the normal Spanish timetable, but the empanadas are available all day along with beers, wines, cavas,...
