After seeing all the positive reviews we decided to come here. We’ve been served with olives 🫒 in the beginning, which I accidentally spilled out of the small dish. When we were laughing about it, the head waiter passed by, and said something in Spanish like “muy bien, perfecto”. I thought he was joking, but then, looking at his face, I realized he was not, since he didn’t laugh and he didn’t even clean or asked if we needed help. Then we got the gratin shrimps with artichokes as starter…. The most visually disgusting thing was served (see pictures). Unfortunately wasn’t only visually, but the taste was worse than the food in the school canteens. The ‘gratin’ was made with the worse and cheapest cheese ever, that immediately became like smelly hard plastic. The artichokes were directly from the cheapest can. There were literally 5 unfrozen shrimps (for 12€!!!), submerged in an ugly pink-barbecue like sauce. We left it, the arrogant head waiter came again and asked if we finished already, and I told him the truth. He seemed pretty upset. I’m not even sure that the cheese was written in the menu, because of course we wouldn’t have got that. ‘Gratin’ without other explanation, is a delicate grilled with breadcrumbs. No cheese. Unfortunately the paella came immediately afterwards, because we actually thought about cancel the order and leave. The rice was well cooked, but the fish was clearly cheap, hard, chewy, and unfrozen. Very bad quality. They invested all in the look of the place, so they serve the most low quality food ever. I have no words on how people could gave all those high scores. I haven’t eaten bad food like this, literally in ages. Such a bad experience. Probably a “turist’s trap”, where people who don’t know how to appreciate good food go just for the location. And all the waiters are really really nice and kind and smily, except the arrogant head waiter. We left tips for them, definitely not for the...

Avoid this place, food is ok but certainly nothing special. It's unfortunately the terrible poor service that lets this restaurant down. The waiters are rude, arrogant and service was poor. A simple request to change a dish 1 minute after ordering was met with confrontation and we were told our dish had already been prepared, which was a complete lie (I have added a photo of the waiter who gave us bad service and needs to be either better trained or find a new job) This was followed by slow and unattentive service (30 mins to get a drink)that ruined the meal. For that reason they will never see us again. We found it much better off driving in to Palamos and visiting one of the many great restaurants near by. If you are looking to eat in Calonge we enjoyed restaurant Samal. Best restaurant in the area is Bo Tic by a...

Big menu with lots of choice. French, spanish food mostly. Food mostly good or very good but a well done steak came to the table very red in the middle - maybe that is well done if you are spanish! Service rather abrupt as if we were not getting a personal service. We did not speak much Spanish. They could not find our reservation when we arrived but did find us a table. Waiters were a bit loud calling to each other and on their walkie talkies. Did not wait long for food. Lots of children enjoying themselves in the garden. Mosquito spray recommended as most tables are outside. About €50 a head for starter, main,...

Poc gustós i justa presentació.
