Tiki Beach Mallorca — Restaurant in Capdepera

the location is nice, right at the beach on the beginning of the busy promenade. however, the prices are way too high for what you get: easy peasy tofu poke bowls that you can prepare at home in no time and for less than 18€ and a terrible service. we waited one hour (!) for fries (!) that never came even after asking for it. we had to try to get in contact with the waiters for at least 20mins to even be able to ask for it. their organisation is terrible. everyone is serving every table but also forgetting a lot. looks like their management hasn’t really thought everything through. it is just not “working”. when we asked for the bill and mentioned that they should cross out the fries we didn’t get, the waiter was neither able to apologize for the mistake nor did he try to make them come and us stay … i don’t quite get the rating of 4 stars … sure because of the “famous” germans running the place. i’m sure there’re better places around. less pricey they...

The good part first: It looks awesome.

And thats all, prices are very high in particular the drinks. The Sangria was about 6€ one of the cheapest items on the card, even their homemade lemonade/icetea was more expansive. And indeed it was cheap. Of all Sangria on the Coast (we tastet about 10 and counting) it was the worst wine, a few applestripes (cheapest fruit), no spoon.

Like, they are not even trying.

Second star only cause i didn't taste the food so no judgement here. Also, service was "meh", yes they pass by the first 10 minutes, after that it's hard to get their attention.

Wir sind extra von der Playa mit dem Auto ins Tiki Beach gefahren, um das Konzept und das Essen von Peggy zu testen. Erstmal ist der Laden wirklich toll mit der Holzverkleidung und den Schirmen im Aussenbereich. Leider hat uns das Essen bzw das Konzept nicht von den Socken gehauen. Sushi? Drei Bowls, einiges an Veggy und natürlich ganz wichtig Vegan. Ebenso gab es ein richtiges Abendessen das wir nicht probiert haben. Rinderfilet. Dass Konzept verstehen wir nicht und wir haben dann nur Aioli und einen Ceasar Salat gegessen der leider kein César Salat war. Allerdings hat er geschmeckt. Alles in allem kein Restaurant für Abends zum Essen gehen. Eher für einen Drink oder was kleines ist das Tiki unserer Meinung nach in Ordnung. Was allerdings enttäuschend und wirklich aufgefallen ist war folgendes: Es gab 2 junge Kellner und beide sind leider super arrogant und haben kein Schimmer von Service. Beim Hallo sagen oder Karte bringen schaut er gelangweilt weg oder woanders hin. Was aber auch aufgefallen ist, der Kellner hat andere Aufgaben. Die Nachbareisdiele besuchen, da kann er freundlich sein und Spaß mit dem dortigen Personal machen. Wir wollten bestellen, dann ist er erstmal an der Eisdiele zum Zweiten Mal vorbei und hat für sich irgendwo Zigaretten geholt. Als er zurückkam durften wir glücklicherweise bestellen. An der Bar und in der Küche haben die Mitarbeiter Spaß und blödeln komplett nur herum. Was sind Service? Was sind Kunden? Da der Kellner ( es waren 2 Jungs) dann lieber blödelte hat uns dann freundlicherweise eine junge Dame abkassiert die ausnahmsweise auch freundlich war. Ich hoffe die Besitzerin bekommt das selbst noch mit wie das Personal insbesondere die Jungs arbeiten und kann dieses Problem lösen, da wir so nicht mehr wieder.
