For years we have passed this place on the road between Orgiva and the villages of Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira and thought it was a shame that the former Los Llanos restaurant was no longer open. Happily it reopened 5 months ago as Jaima Los Llanos, specialising in North African cuisine, especially grilled (“a la parilla“) meat and we have just enjoyed what we hope will be the first of many visits. The ambience of the restaurant was calming and inviting with tasteful decor, comfortable seating arrangements and a homely feel. The food was an incredible fusion of flavours with succulent meat dishes and delectable vegetarian options. Lots of vibrant colours and a burst of flavours. The service was impeccable. Run by a lovely, sweet family who were both friendly and accommodating. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was simply outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful and of excellent quality. Each plate was beautifully presented and tasted truly delightful. Inside, there is also a small shop with souvenirs and beautiful artworks made by the owner. A dedicated prayer space adds a thoughtful and mindful touch.
