La Cala is one of those rare restaurants where the setting is just as memorable as the food. Perched right by the sea, it offers a fantastic location with views that are simply to die for on a sunny day. The drive down to the restaurant is a little adventure in itself, winding through the cliffs and adding to the sense of arriving somewhere special.
The food is excellent, with a menu that highlights fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavors. Everything is beautifully prepared and best enjoyed while gazing out over the water. The environment is amazing – relaxed yet refined – and it’s hard to imagine a more stunning spot for lunch or dinner.
Service is attentive and genuinely grateful, which makes you feel truly welcomed and cared for throughout your visit. Combined with the spectacular setting, it creates an unforgettable dining experience that feels both unique and deeply Mediterranean.
Overall, La Cala at La Manga Club is a must-visit. Come for the food, stay for the breathtaking views, and leave with the memory of a restaurant that perfectly blends location, cuisine,...
Read moreA lovely little “nest” perched above a Little Rock Beach. Beautiful view of the sea. Very tranquil. As for the food get ready to be defrocked and thoroughly rogered! With a location such as this it’s clear that some financial premium must be paid, but come on!!!! I would be willing to pay double because of the location but put something on the plate that doesn’t appear to come from a motorway service station. We both had the whole Dorada. At 90€ that’s quite a markup. It was served with a baked potato that was undercooked and chips that were just a complete disaster. Never have I had a chip that was both overcooked on the inside and yet completely underdone on the outside. A true masterpiece of culinary incompetence! The entire dish lacked seasoning and any real care. Even the way it was thrown onto the plate was nonchalant. The service however was excellent by the head waiter, the others clearly didn’t have his skill, charm or abilities...
Read moreCame here earlier and was surprised by the attitude of the staff, quite surly and not at all impressed by us (a table of 5) showing up, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. I understand that tourists are annoying but the attitude was a bit much. We had menus that showed different prices for the same dishes - a disparity of 4/5 euros on every dish. The prices are very steep compared to other (better) restaurants in the area. I think you’re mainly paying for the location. The bread was very good but I ordered the salmon salad and was disappointed to see it was with raw salmon instead of cooked fish. I definitely wouldn’t have ordered that if I knew - would be good to include that information. For a simple grilled chicken breast was €25. Beers here are over €5 - more expensive than in the heart of Amsterdam! Honestly disappointed as I had heard...
