Extremely disappointed. We have been going to Don Giovanni for the last 4 years but I’m afraid to say we won’t be going back ever again. The maitre should get fired immediately EXTREMELY CONDESCENDING. We had made a reservation 1 month in advanced, we called to check that the reservation (for 9pm) was still there and we got told that they didn’t have a reservation in our name but nonetheless we should go there at 10pm and we would have a table. When we got there at 10pm (1 hour after out reservation time), the storyline completely changed and we got told to wait until a table was free and that it could take 30-40 mins. The way the maitre spoke was out of order, using phrases such as “I will do you a favour and give you dinner”, as if they hadn’t messed up the reservations. After waiting for 30 mins, he told us a table had just finished desert and we would sit there when they had it ready.
After waiting for another 15 mins he came back to say that he would have an issue giving us the table because someone else had come in. When raising our concerns that we too had a booking he got very defensive and rude, saying that it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault and that he would “do us a favour by giving us dinner” as if it was some sort of Community Lunch Room.
After 1 whole hour waiting, at 11pm, he said that a table was free and we could have dinner. When we moved to the table he again raised his tone to say “now you better not get angry anymore, I am not responsible for anything”, when he is the one in charge of the reservations and customer treatment.
The first course came 11:30pm and the mains took an eternity to come out after that. The menu has also had some changes and the food has worsen noticeably. The carbonara is very bland compared to that of previous times we have been here, and the spinach ravioli is extremely overpriced (exactly 5 ravioli in a 30€ plate). I’m sorry to say that we will not be going back. Ended up paying 80€ p.p. for a condescending maitre and worsen food.
Having spoken to friends that have been there recently, they have also highlighted the poor service when compared to other years.
I’m sorry to say Andrea, it is a pity that the restaurant has had this downfall, especially the service. We have been here many times, and at the one in Madrid too, but we will not be coming again.
When we were leaving, we asked for a Complaint Sheet (compulsory for restaurants to have them in Spain) and the maitre told us that they didn’t have any there.
As a message to everyone thinking to go there, previous years it was in our must-go restaurants but not anymore, especially with the current maitre. That man really must get fired or toned down, and remember...

Desde el primer momento el SERVICIO fue nefasto. Nos sentaron 45 minutos más tarde, en una mesa que cortaba el paso. Cuando tras 10mins sentados quedaron libres más de 4 mesas, tuvimos que pedir nosotros el cambio. Algunos camareros sin experiencia y otros incluso con falta de educación (burlándose con un absurdo saludo al llamarlo para su atención). Sumamos el bajisimo nivel de Andrea, tanto a nivel personal como profesional. Prepotencia y mala presencia. Con un ego que marca en su imagen, y en sus palabras y formas de actuar. Se acercó a hablar con nosotros y es lo peor que pudo hacer. En cuanto al nivel del PRODUCTO/PRECIO, deja muchísimo qué desear. Pasta que puedes comer en cualquier cadena de restaurantes convencional, presentación y calidad nefastas, incluso en algún plato ridícula. Nos llamó la atención un "Gambón" que resultaron ser 4 gambas mal puestas con uno de los precios de la carta más elevados. Pasta sin especial preparación con simples salsas y sin apenas queso. Carbonara elaborada con nata en lugar de huevo..sin palabras.
