Update on 29/112020. Back after nine months lockdown in the U.K. This is the best Indian restaurant in Castalla, Spain. New Delight Indian Restaurant.

I’ve only have take aways five times over two months due to my personal circumstances. But I can tell ya, this place is the real deal. The food is excellent, nice choices and portions, lovely presentation and the service is fantastic. The price is very reasonable. Whilst waiting for my orders I deliberately eye balled the “sit down diners” and my interpretation is that they were all happy eaters. There is a very nice bar within, which compliments the establishment. The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant is very sensuously light, it’s cozy, clean and thanks to Sonia and Suk ( the front of house host ) was very attentive and professional. The coffee is wonderful 🤩🤩. I honestly got transported back to Goa, from a culinary perspective, as this is where I have experienced authentic Indian cuisine. A must visit if you’re in Castalla. VERY disappointing and embarrassing as we'd told our friends who we took with us on Friday 14th October for a birthday meal how good the service and food was. My food was cold and 2 others had chicken tikka massala and the chicken was chewy and tough. Proportions were small. We asked if we could have a complimentary small drink (3 small shots of Baileys and 2 of brandy) and the young man who served us said yes however when the €112 bill came we had been charged €2 each for them. We do live not to far from the said place restaurant and visited few years ago couple of times but we mainly go to the coast frirnds came to see us so we suggested this lovely restaurant as good as before . staff helpfull and obliging. Nicely set tables i like my lunch and coffee very hot which it was perfect friends loved it woild recommend to other friends nice crowd of people also enjoying good atmostphere we will go again soon more than pleased thank you...
