DGust — Restaurant in Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i s'Agaró

During our vacation, we came across this charming reservoir thanks to the many glowing reviews – and it exceeded all our expectations! The food is authentic, carefully prepared, and full of flavor.

What truly stood out was the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. In addition to the regular menu, there were some specials listed on a board, which were only in the local language. The staff took the time to patiently explain each of these dishes to us in English, helping us understand exactly what was being offered – a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcome.

A special recommendation: the pulpo (octopus) was absolutely outstanding – perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. Don’t miss it!

With a decoration looking like the toilets of an ex-Russian gulag, and warmer than the outside temperature, the food is less than average. We ordered a langoustine salad with vinaigrette and it came with a white cheesy sauce, unpeeled and large chunks of tomato and not valued as a 0 as the langoustines were good. The cod fish carpaccio was flooded in defrosting water, it was tasteless and too thick for being a carpaccio. As a main we got the tuna fish with algae salad. The tuna was superb, but the salad was a couple of thinly sliced green algae typical from a carrousel Chinese dine in. We ordered a cava glass, that should be a sparkling wine, and all the bubbles were gone, probably the bottle was opened the day before. Absolut empfehlenswert! Kleines, familiengeführtes Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Service und fairen Preisen. Die Calamari, der marinierte Fisch, das katalanische Brot und der hausgemachte Flan waren einfach köstlich. Alles frisch zubereitet und liebevoll angerichtet. Wir waren zweimal da – und kommen garantiert wieder!

Petit restaurant familial très accueillant. Service souriant, plats délicieux et prix raisonnables. Nous avons goûté les calamars, les anchois marinés, le pain catalan et le flan maison – un vrai régal. Nous y sommes retournés le lendemain – c’est tout dire !

Pour aider les autres visiteurs, j’ai traduit les menus écrits à la craie (plats du jour et desserts) en français, allemand et russe – voir les photos dans la galerie. Un vrai coup de cœur pour ce restaurant chaleureux !

Уютный семейный ресторан с очень дружелюбным обслуживанием. Все блюда свежие и вкусные – особенно кальмары, маринованные анчоусы, каталонский хлеб и домашний флан. Мы обедали здесь дважды – и ещё вернёмся!

Мы были здесь дважды — отличное место! Очень дружелюбный персонал, вкусная и свежая средиземноморская кухня, разумные цены. Особенно понравились блюда дня и десерты.
