Don Quijote — Restaurant in Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i s'Agaró

Last visit 2021 , Monday July 12th. 17: 30 - I certainly believe that the man-person who register the reservation during my visit at the restaurant (17:30) cannot speak anymore…this shows the level of hospitality. 19:30 - After we choosed the a-la-carte dishes, the order was taken by an eldern woman who does not speak any word other the Spanish. (Single Language in an International Restaurant…)

20:00 – I ordered a main dish ‘204 Grilled Prawns 17,50€’ as a starter. I received 7 very small gambas. (5cm length - 1 cm thick). Total Net weight : I guess 50 grams. (that means +- 350€ per Kg). I raised my polite question concerning the ‘GAMBAS’ to a Don Quijot Girl(young age) who spoke fluent English(table serving) : (My question : I ordered the ‘204 Grilled Prawns Gambas’ as a starter – do you serve the same when it is ordered as main course? Her Answer : Yes.

Anyway :

THE Don-Quijot ORGANIZATIONAL personel hierarchy is obsolete. Why? They need to replace the OLD, unfriendly personel by Multi-language, customer friendly, high potential young personel. Those are now assigned to non-favourite tasks. (cleaning tables, …)

The ’204 Grilled Prawns 17,50€’ is a second example how the Restaurant respects their customers. (REMOVE this from the a-la-carte because in this format it downgrades your restaurant level.

Fantastic service, mouth watering food, stunning house wine.

The service was incredible with confident food recommendations and friendly waiters/waitresses (which also had humour which made us feel relaxed and welcome).

My partner chose the l'ardoise (if you love steak, this will be the best you have ever come across.... mouth watering is the best way to describe it).

We arnt really a dessert kind of family, however we liked the place that much we stayed to have dessert, which topped the night off.

Don Quijote is amazing. The food is top quality Good, and the atmoshphere is very Nice. Some of the food they even stick fire to, and cook it in front of you. On the front page of the menu there is a 2-steak platter for 25€ with an amazing sauce, corn and other vegetables. The only real problem is That a few of the servers Are not very good at english, which Can be difficult for Interbationals to deal with. But other than That, it is just all in all amazing. I would definetly recommend, for anyone going here to Plata D’Aro. 9.8/10,...
