Higuma — Restaurant in Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i s'Agaró

Precios injustificados, personal hostil y mala calidad — nunca más Visitamos Higuma en Platja d’Aro, y fue una de las peores experiencias gastronómicas que hemos tenido últimamente. Los precios son completamente injustificados para el nivel de servicio y calidad que ofrecen.

El servicio fue inaceptable desde el principio. La camarera sirvió el primer plato pasando el brazo por encima del hombro de mi esposa, y le derramó salsa de soja agridulce sobre su abrigo nuevo y caro. El resto de la noche fue igual: actitud fría, grosera y casi agresiva. Al final, otra camarera apiló platos sucios sin cuidado y volvió a manchar a mi esposa, esta vez el vestido. Ni una disculpa, ni un gesto de compensación. Absoluto silencio.

En cuanto a la comida — todo está saturado de salsas artificiales y sabores dulces y ácidos. Los ingredientes base son de calidad muy baja: casi nada de buen pescado, arroz pobre, todo cubierto con salsas pegajosas y picantes.

Hace un par de años, este sitio se consideraba prestigioso en Platja d’Aro. Hoy es simplemente un comedor de estilo oriental con pretensiones y un personal que parece odiar a los clientes.

Totalmente desaconsejado.

Unjustified prices, hostile staff, and poor quality — never again We visited Higuma in Platja d’Aro, and it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences in recent memory. The prices are completely unjustified for the level of service and quality provided.

The service was unacceptable from the very start. The waitress served the first dish by reaching over my wife’s shoulder and spilled sweet soy sauce all over her brand-new, expensive coat. The rest of the evening continued in the same tone: cold, dismissive, and borderline aggressive attitude. At the end, a different waitress stacked dirty plates carelessly and once again spilled food — this time on my wife’s dress. Not a single apology, no gesture of goodwill, nothing at all.

As for the food — it's all drenched in artificial sauces and overpowering sweet and sour flavors. The base ingredients are of very low quality: barely any decent fish, poor rice, and everything hidden under sticky sauces and spiciness.

A couple of years ago, this place used to be seen as prestigious for Platja d’Aro. Now, it’s nothing more than a low-grade "fusion-style" canteen with a staff that seems to actively dislike people.

Absolutely not recommended.

Неоправданные цены, хамский персонал и низкое качество — больше ни ногой Посетили ресторан Higuma в Плайя-де-Аро — и, к сожалению, это один из худших гастрономических опытов за последнее время. Цены — просто неоправданные для такого уровня сервиса и качества.

Обслуживание оскорбительное с самого начала. Официантка, подавая первое блюдо, передала тарелку через плечо моей жены и облила её кисло-сладким соусом. Пострадало дорогое новое пальто. Весь вечер сопровождался пренебрежительным, почти враждебным отношением. В финале другая официантка навалила грязные тарелки друг на друга и снова облила мою жену — на этот раз платье. Никаких извинений, ни комплиментов от заведения, ни попытки загладить вину. Полное игнорирование.

Кулинарная часть также вызывает вопросы. Все блюда перенасыщены химическими соусами, сладкими и кислыми добавками. Качество исходных продуктов — крайне низкое: минимум рыбы сомнительного качества, некачественный рис, и огромное количество «маскировки» в виде липких подливок и остроты.

Еще пару лет назад это место считалось престижным для Плайя-де-Аро. Сегодня — это просто азиатская столовая с претензией и персоналом, который, похоже, ненавидит клиентов.

We got slammed with a downright abysmal experience at what was once at least half a decent spot in Platja d’Aro. We used to look forward to our yearly visit. Well, not anymore. Sure, you don’t come here for Michelin star ambience or quality, but what the hell happened to the service—once bearable, now a chaotic dump of forgotten drinks, missed dishes, average food, and endless waits? At the end of our dinner - with yet again no waiter in sight - we went to the exit desk to pay, only to spot those undelivered courses smugly tacked onto the bill. Quelle surprise. The cashier shrugged, letting us slash it down with a lazy “this happens all the time” face and some mumbled apologies. Seriously, how’d it crash this hard? We won’t be back to find out....

This is a hidden gem in the Costa Brava. We live in Palafrugell and we often make the 20 minute drive to this fabulous Asian fusion restaurant.

The sushi is absolutely fantastic, incredibly well priced and is complemented by a great menu of Chinese food. Normally I would never visit a place that tries to bridge the gap between both cuisines, but Higuma does that expertly. Generous portions of rolls and interesting combinations with truffles make this as good as a top tier Asian restaurant. Flavours are to die for in every dish.

For a family of 4, we leave totally satisfied and don’t feel ripped off like at some other restaurants in the Costa brava.
