Cactus bar — Restaurant in Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i s'Agaró

I visited Cactus Cafe during my holiday in Spain with the hope of enjoying the Barcelona vs PSG game and experiencing local culture. However, my experience was marred by discriminatory treatment.

As the only person of color in the crowded bar, I felt out of place from the start. Despite the standing-room-only situation, I was singled out by the wait staff, particularly by an older, shorter gentleman who rudely demanded I order something immediately or leave. When I explained I wanted to wait for a table to enjoy a meal before drinking, I was met with hostility and pressure to purchase on the spot. It was clear I was being treated differently because of my race.

Feeling unwelcome and disrespected, I ordered a drink then decided to leave as the fellow was making it. I stepped outside and confronted the waiter about his discriminatory behavior before exiting the premises.

Despite this disappointing experience, my overall trip to Spain has been wonderful, with warm hospitality and delicious food at other establishments. I cannot recommend Cactus Cafe to fellow travelers, especially those who value inclusivity and respect.

Instead, consider patronizing Pura Vida down the block. They provided excellent hospitality and exceptional food, making my experience there...

Very nice place, staff are fantastic & looked after me & my family very well, also looked after me for football & returned a lost phone to me & kept it safe Evan tho i was staying mid/long distance away from the restaurant.. We went to watch the Euro 2020 final. It was nice to sit outside. Those white couches are very nice and the TVs are big enough.

There were issues with the sound. It was hit and miss. It was working inside. Reading other comments I don't know if it's a regular thing or not.

The beer selection in pints (jarra) is quite poor. So it's bottles.

Nice and friendly staff.

The food was good.

Clean toilets.

As holiday sports bar go, it's pretty good. I'd go back...
