Complejo Peñamar — Restaurant in Castropol

We originally reserved a table for 10 people, then confirmed that we would be 12 at el rison. We arrived by boat from Ribadeo for our 2pm reservation only to be told we had booked their sister restaurant on the other side of Castropol. This is NOT true... We were all in Indiana costume and in 27 degrees we had to walk 15 mins uphill to their other restaurant, Complejo Peñamar. The menu del dia was 38€!!! Our bill per head was 45€, outrageous for what we had. We then had to walk back to the other side of Castropol to get the boat back to Ribadeo. Un sitio para comer comida de toda la vida bien hecha, con producto de calidad y correcta presentacion pero sin pretender hacer florituras. Mantiene la decoración de siempre, un toque incluso de los años 80. Pero todo muy cuidado y muy limpio. Situado justo en frente de la ria del Eo por la parte asturiana y pegado al rte Casa Vicente. Ya la entrada al rte llena de relojes de pared te da una idea de la personalidad del lugar. Nosotros fuimos a comer el menu del dia. Cuesta 15€ pero merece la pena. Pedimos de primero sopa de marisco y guiso de bacalao. Y de segundo chipirones a la plancha. También tiene menú del día para niños por 12€. Merece la pena. Habíamos estado hace años y siguen manteniendo la misma línea. Esta vez hemos ido a una comunión y es una apuesta segura. Están especializados en bodas y comuniones.
