What an incredible jewel! My husband and I are vegan and although we have not really struggled to eat along our journey on the Camino, we ate one of our best meals ever at A Brana! They have several vegan choices that are not your typical vegan options. Yes, they have the typical ones too, in case you prefer that, but to have many choices, that is amazing! We had the vegan tripe and the A Brana rice. Both were SO delicious and filling!! We also had their vegan chocolate ice cream! Yes, vegan ice cream!! In addition to the wonderful and yummy food, the ambiance was delightful and beautiful! Each deck is so nicely decorated and adds to the relaxing environment. The staff was so kind and helpful and Pablo, who spoke beautiful english could not have been more kind, helpful, and just overall wonderful! I highly recommend this...
Read moreIf you’re in the area for a quick stop, Camino, visiting, whatever it may be- COME HERE! I came to have dinner solo (Camino-lady style) and I was taken care of with the most love from start to finish. Nora was the kindest person ever, she gave me the best recommendations for food and drink and because of that, Chef Rrrrrroy (inside joke with Nora, Pablo and I) served the most delicious meal I’ve had since being in Spain. The atmosphere was lovely- looking out as the sun started to make its way down to the the rolling hills, birds chirping and lovely music playing- sorry, where are the cameras for this movie set?!? It was perfect in so many ways! I couldn’t recommend this place more. If I had the time I would stay another day simply for the opportunity to experience their expertise...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into (I am a pilgrim on the Camino De Santiago) A Brańa I was welcomed with open arms. Ines the owner and all the staff were just so lovely and friendly. The layout of the place was so cute. The views over. Lires snd the water were stunning. I had the most delicious cafe con leche served with a pierce of homemade cake. I choose to stay in one of the rooms in the main house about 200 meters up the road from the restaurant. I was welcomed warmly by Ines’s mother and father Jesus. Such lovely and kind people. My cute room was sweet. I even had a bath tub which was perfect to soak my tired and sore muscles. I went back down to the restaurant for lunch which was absolutely lovely. The cheese cake was out of this world. I took a siesta and lathe the pool on the hammock!! After I went down for dinner and the place was buzzing with locals abs pilgrims from all around the world. Thank you Ińes for creating such a special place for me to call home even it was just for 24 hours. Thank you to all the staff and especially for my poncho that was kindly given to me.
So much love and gratitude
