Bar Playa de Lires — Restaurant in Cee

Perfect location with the views of the bay and ocean and quite protected from the weather. It is not easy to get to - through a set of windy, very tight roads in the village, so don’t take a big vehicle! I only went for a beer and was intending to stay for an evening meal but the weather turned and I decided not to. The welcome was variable with the lady telling me that the kitchen closes at 4pm and not telling me it reopened at 7 which the gentleman later did - however that might well be my bad Spanish!. We went for the sunset view. Plan to arrive early if you want a table and to make sure parking isn't a big hassle. It fills up. Our kids went down to the beach to look at tide pools while we enjoyed a beer up at the bar. Not a swim beach as the currents go in all directions. Lots of surfers nearby. El año pasado era un sitio genial para ver la puesta de Sol mientras cenabas, este año han cambiado y ya no es un sitio que valga la pena. El bar es cutre, lo precioso es la ubicación. El año pasado tenían una carta variada, con muchas opciones y precios razonables. Este año han reducido la carta demasiado y todo es carísimo. Las raciones que te ponen las tienes, literalmente, a la mitad de precio en la parrillada que está a poco más de un km de distancia (y más abundantes en la parrillada), y lo mismo las cervezas. Además, los camareros son poco profesionales. Estuvimos sentados más de media hora y nadie nos vino a atender. Al final nos fuimos y cenamos en la parrillada, y fue la mejor decisión. Todo mucho más barato, y riquísimo. Nos encantaba este sitio para ver la puesta de Sol, pero, viendo el cambio, no volveremos ni lo recomendamos en absoluto.
