We had high hopes for this meal, and while there were some highlights, the overall experience left us quite disappointed.

To start, the small plates (croquettes, crab roll, and salmon tartare) were enjoyable, though the salmon was forgotten and awkwardly served after our mains had already arrived. Mains were hit and miss — the lasagne was extremely oily and unappetizing, to the point where I had to send it back. To their credit, the staff handled it graciously and brought out a replacement dish. Desserts were a saving grace — the tiramisu and mojito sorbet were both delicious and something I’d definitely have again.

Unfortunately, the evening took a sour turn toward the end. Although we still had about 30 minutes before closing and the end of our reservation (advertised as 12:30am), the staff made it clear they wanted us out. After settling the bill (not a small figure mind you), we politely asked if someone could help us order a taxi to our hotel — a reasonable request, especially given we were unfamiliar with Menorca and struggling to find a working number online, plus the fact there isn’t the usual uber/bolt option here. The answer was a flat “no we can’t do this,” followed by a noticeably passive-aggressive attitude from the waiters.

We were then pressured to leave and ended up standing outside waiting on the street — well before closing time — while the staff locked up and left. Not great for two young ladies left in a dark parking lot in the middle of the night..

This final interaction left a really unpleasant impression. If the staff were that eager to close up, the least they could have done was assist with a taxi, especially for guests clearly unfamiliar with the area. Thankfully in the end our hotel organised a taxi for us else who knows how long we would have been stranded. I can’t help but wonder if other guests would have been treated the same way — you can probably guess...

A Total Disappointment

I recently dined at a much-hyped restaurant with my friends, drawn in by the stunning views and Instagram-worthy ambiance that so many influencers rave about. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but positive, marred by poor service and subpar food.

It took us an entire month to secure a reservation due to the restaurant’s unresponsive booking system. Phone calls went unanswered, and emails were ignored. This should have been a red flag, but we persisted, hoping the experience would be worth it.

Upon arrival, the hostess was inattentive, allowing people to cut in line, and was rude to us. Our reservation was for 10pm. After being seated, we promptly ordered our starters and main courses. At 11pm, when the main courses arrived, one of them was incorrect. The replacement dish arrived within two minutes, cold and overcooked. When we complained, the waiter offered to let us choose another dish. However, moments later, he returned to inform us that the kitchen had already closed, leaving us to share our remaining dishes to ensure everyone had something to eat.

The manager never addressed our complaints, hiding behind the staff. To top it off, the hostess insulted one my friends. The only bright spot in our evening was an employee named German, who did his best to mitigate the situation. His efforts, however, were overshadowed by the overall poor experience.

Despite the beautiful setting, the service and food were terrible. This place is not worth the hassle or the high...

Worst experience ever, please save your money and find another place! The staff is very rude and aggressive, we have never felt so attacked before and also the food is not that great. Let me explain you our situation, so you could better understand Ivette’s staff behaviour. We have booked a table on the website from 22.30 till 0.30, but apparently the kitchen close at 23.00 (very early for Menorca standards) but no one informed us, so we just ordered some appetisers thinking we had enough time to order the main later. NO ONE of the staff ever apologised to us for this mistake as we were left hungry with the need to find another place to eat at 23.10. The waiter forgot one of our orders and insisted that we didn’t order that food (even tho both 5 of us remembered that). Once we were able to talk to the manager he told us, and I quote, “I don’t believe you cause I don’t know you but I know my staff”. Basically, instead of admitting their mistake, we were threaten as liars but as they told us “we don’t care cause we can’t do anything for you”. Ivette’s staff apparently don’t care about clients, so better go to a place where they trust their clients and threat them...

I recently dined at a stunning restaurant in Menorca, perched on the edge of a cliff with breathtaking views of the sea. The ambiance was immaculate, with lots of white decor that perfectly complemented the natural beauty surrounding the location. It felt like a serene oasis, seamlessly blending luxury and relaxation. The highlight of my meal was the burrata salad. It was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, with the creamy burrata perfectly balanced by ripe tomatoes and a hint of basil. Every bite was a delight, and it set the tone for the rest of the culinary experience. The menu was filled with other incredible dishes, each prepared with care and creativity. The service was top-notch, attentive yet unobtrusive, enhancing the overall experience. Dining here was more than just a meal; it was an unforgettable experience combining remarkable food, stunning views, and a tranquil atmosphere. If you're in Menorca, this restaurant is a must-visit.
