I absolutely adore looking at the Florence Cathedral; the complexity of its decorations surpasses the complexity of my mind, and I experience a strong physiological sensation when I gaze upon it. We live just an hour's flight away, and finally decided to immerse ourselves in this sensory storm for a week. We settled into an apartment with a view of Brunelleschi's Dome. Our mornings – the Uffizi, a dialogue with Botticelli, and a jarring sense of disorientation at the sight of Kustodiev's self-portrait. The rest of the day – hunting down the famed "Florentine steak." We visited several highly rated restaurants, including a Michelin-starred one in the courtyard of an authentic palazzo, fearlessly washing down a dry-aged steak with a "Black Mamba 2020". Alas, the impressions from the palazzo, the Cathedral, the Dome, Botticelli, and Kustodiev far outweighed the steak. In a crushing endgame, we headed to Siena, to a specialized steakhouse with a phenomenal (5.0 rating based on 150 reviews) score on Google Maps. The restaurant offered meat from all over Europe, but we were unshakable – only Florentine, only Italian. (The waiter insisted on Galician beef, but upon learning we were from Spain, he relented.) It was a decent piece of meat, perfectly cooked, paired with a well-chosen Chianti, and the bill evoked a solemn acceptance of fate and the thought, "Well, how much time do we have left…"
In short, if you find yourself in Florence – stick to the Cathedral, the Uffizi, Siena. When it comes to food – go for the lardo; any description of a Grand Cru Chablis, with its bouquet, body, aftertaste, and serving temperature, will give you a clear picture of what to expect from it.

Ek problema es la atención al cliente y el concepto que tiene de atención al cliente la encargada. He llamado a las 11am de la mañana para reservar para 3 personas y un perro, así que pedí terraza. A las 11 ibamos de camino a una playa un poco lejana, así que pedimos a las 13.30. Por teléfono la encargada ya fue un poco seca y corta te, además no entendia lo que le decía y le costó entender mi nombre, a la cuarta vez lo anotó bien. Nos presentamos a las 13.33 y le decimos que teníamos mesa reservada. La encargada sin decir ni hola nos dice que llegamos tarde que ha dado nuestra mesa. Le pedimos perdón por los 3 minutos tarde y ella dice que teniamos apuntada hora a las 13.00 y no a la una. El restaurante estaba lleno y ella se empaña en discutir conmigo que habiamos reservado a la 13 y no a las 13.30 que ella misma lo habia apuntado. Le digo que se equivoca y el error es de ellos, de todas maneras ni pide perdón por su error ni se corta un pelo delante de todos los allí presentes. Después de 10 minutos vuelve y nos dice que aunque hubiéramos reservado a las 13.30 eran ya las 13.39, y le digo que llevamos 10 minutos esperando.
No me cabe en la cabeza como alguien que trabaja de cara al público no entiende que el cliente, siempre tiene razón incluso si no la tiene. En este caso reservé a las 13.30 pero si hubiese sido posible que reservara a las 13, no se trata a las personas así, y menos delante de la gente. Muy poco profesional muy poco elegante.
