Foradada Restaurant — Restaurant in Deià

I was visiting La Foradada during a short vacation in Mallorca with a friend. The place is beautiful, but the experience was unfortunately disappointing. While ordering at the bar, I made a lighthearted remark after someone skipped the line. Instead of diffusing the situation, one of the staff members aggressively insulted me in Spanish and made threatening gestures, as if he wanted to fight. I remained calm and didn’t engage, hoping it would end there. Later, I calmly reported the incident to the manager. Sadly, I was met with defensiveness and gaslighting instead of a sincere apology or accountability. As a frequent traveler, I’ve been around the world and never experienced such open hostility in a European establishment. This is not how hospitality should be — especially in a tourist area where people come to relax, not to feel threatened. A little professionalism, respect, and clarity would go a long way. I truly hope they reflect...

Me llevaron por el atardecer,y ya que estaba en ese sitio tan idílico, decidí preguntar si había alguna mesa libre,me dijeron que algunas pegadas al muro quedaban todavía así que aproveché,hasta ahí todo muy bien,luego vieron los peros, esas mesas sólo pueden ser para consumir comida, le digo ok miro la carta y elijo un humus de pepino y la tabla de ibérico y luego le pediría una hamburguesa,pero no se podía , tenía que pedirlo todo de una y no sólo eso,si no que te lo sirven de una sea la hora que sea no puedes tomarte dos cervezas y luego ir a pedirte otras dos y una hamburguesa, pagas antes de comer cosa que no entendí al igual que tampoco entendí que no sirviera en mesa (te llaman como si fueras el servicio en una finca de ricos con timbre de campana y tú número de ticket gritandolo cómo en los mercadillos)y le quitan todo el encanto al espacio tan privilegiado que tienen ahí,la excusa fue que se iba a poner aquello a tope de gente que la cola daría la vuelta a la isla y y tendría que hacer cola de una hora de nuevo para pedir supuestamente,(cola que nunca vi) cuando quise dos cervezas me levanté hice la cola cuando había menos gente (3 parejas delante) y pedí otras dos cervezas (que también quería pedir de una al llegar ya que se ponía aquello tan a full de gente) pero tampoco podían darmelas después,(por lo de la gran cola) tenía que cogerlas ya (y que se me calentaran) y la smash burguer que amablemente como excepción mantuvieron sin hacerme cuándo llegue sobre las 19:30 ( que no es a la hora que yo tenía pensado cenar.

La smash burguer muy buena El hummus riquísimo La tabla de ibérico exquisito La única pega las papas de la burger tenían muchísima sal, demasiada,no pude comermelas.

Mi resumen : El sitio lo vale ,el señor que me atendió tuvo su paciencia conmigo como mismo yo me adapté a las circunstancias ,pero creo que se puede gestionar de otra manera, ya que los precios que tienen no están a la altura del servicio, porque no existe servicio básicamente,y no hay tantas mesas diría yo,2 o 3 camareros sacan esa terraza...

The location is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking panoramic view and an unforgettable sunset. Unfortunately, the experience at the bar was very disappointing. The staff made no effort to speak or understand any language other than Spanish, and the waiter was not only unhelpful but downright aggressive. Another staff member even gave misleading information, claiming that you had to pay €50 just to sit down — clearly trying to take advantage of tourists. This kind of attitude is unacceptable. You can enjoy the view without setting foot in the bar or restaurant, and frankly, given how poorly customers are treated, I strongly recommend you...
