This is a modern hotel situated on the N edge of the village of Deifontes on a rural road, less than half an hour's drive north of Granada. I was accompanying two friends and we took three single rooms. Rooms are spacious and mine was generally in good condition, especially the bathroom where everything worked as it should. There was a sunny balcony. My only complaint about the bathroom was that the drains smelt, but this was resolved by putting the plug in the wash basin overnight. There was a small fridge and TV with Spanish channels. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and went to a lot of trouble to explain dishes on the menu and answer our other queries. Breakfast was available from 9a.m. (9.30 on Sunday). The dinner menu offered typical Spanish cuisine and was good value for money. There were local wines available; also draught beer. The hotel caters for celebrations and we encountered one of these on one evening: although talking and music echoed noisily around the restaurant, it was not a serious problem for me in my room.
