Arrived here with three friends after walking 20km, tired and hungry only to be greeted by the most aggressive, angry and horrible waiter we've ever had the misfortune to meet. Walking in at 1.15pm, we asked if they were serving lunch and told no, 1pm. Checking his watch he realised the time, reluctantly pointed us to a table and actively ignored us for 10 minutes. In the meantime, we watched him throwing things around behind the bar, changing his shirt in plain sight and throw it angrily against the wall before getting into a fight with the chef. Observing this, and growing more and more uncomfortable we decided to grab our things and leave. The whole experience was just entirely unnecessary and I've never felt so unwelcome walking into a restaurant. Working in the service industry ourselves, we were left absolutely stunned by his abhorrent behaviour, and it's a shame because the food looked so good on all the google reviews. Do yourself a favour though and walk a further 5 minutes down the road to Bar Restaurante 5° Traste. Great service, friendly, warm and nothing is too much trouble. The calamari al la plancha there is...

This was absolutely the worst experience on the norte so far after 4 weeks. The waiter was incredibly rude—slamming down utensils and plates, not letting us tell him what we wanted but instead briefly describing the menu of the day and disappearing after it became clear we disnt know what he was saying. We decided to take a chance, and boy, were we sorry. The faboda was so salty it was inedible. The meat scallopine was filled with cheese whiz. The froes were dry, wrinkled, and cold. In the middle of the meal we asked him to add a mixed salad. After making sure we knew it would cost extra, he left shaking his head in disgust. Slapped salad on table and it wad almost ad bad—few pieces of old tuna, mealy, tasteless tomatoes, dressing without flavor. Wine was the worst I’ve had so far. And the cost was 25 euros!!! Outrageous. Do NOT go here if you want to have a decent meal for a decent price, served by someone who acts like he’s glad you’re there. Never had...

After hiking 19 miles we stumbled into this Resteraunt. Although they don’t have menu del día, they did have a great variety of dishes to choose from. We chose mixed salad and a sartén dish with Angulas, 2 fried eggs over fried potato’s. Robert was our waiter and although he was new to the job he was very prompt and asked the right questions. We didn’t meet the cook but you can tell he was professional from the menu, taste and presentation of our dishes. There were smiles on all the faces of the workers, you could tell everyone enjoyed their work. We’re going...

Enjoyed our best seafood dinner while hiking the Camino Norte. Our hotel recommended El Pozo Güelita in La Caridad. We were warmly welcomed and offered a choice of several of today’s freshly caught fish. The rodaballo (turbot) looked amazing and that’s what we ordered. It was broiled with fresh tomatoes potatoes ,lots of fresh garlic and olive oil. It was indescribably delicious . The proprietor also served us a sample of cachopo and we all toasted together with the local liqueur. It was our most memorable, magical meal. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.
