Restaurante y Hotel El Estanco — Restaurant in El Hoyo de Pinares

So, if I could, I would give it a 3.5. It actually makes me a little sad not to be able to give it a better review because the people were really great, and for me, that is really important! So, the major issue for us started up on arrival. We booked on hotels.com and it said that there would be four individual beds and one queen-size bed. Well, we knew that we are only a family of four, but we have a teenage son and a teenage daughter, so it would be nice for each of us to have our separate space. However, upon arriving, we were shown a room with two individual beds in one room and a sofa bed. And, to get to the bathroom from the room with the sofa bed, you had to go through the room with the two individual beds. We asked about the bigger rooms, but were told that this was their biggest, that the companies that sell their rooms (when not purchased directly through the hotel) have their information wrong. Sure enough, when we checked on their website, they don't have any rooms with an arrangement of four individual beds and one queen-size bed. So, my wife and I slept on the sofa bed. My body is still recuperating from that. Then, we realized that we had no wifi signal. So, we went down to ask. They said that it didn't reach to our floor (we were on the top floor). My wife insisted that it said we were going to have wifi, so we needed to have wifi. They told us that, if we needed to do work, we could come down to the dining hall to use the internet. We were not satisfied with that response, so they actually gave us a spare phone to use as a hotspot for the four nights we were there. That issue was resolved. The food was delicious. The people were amazing in the end. Another challenge, though, was that they have a dog in the building sometimes, and the dog is very easily spooked and, at one point, I was afraid he was going to bite me. Finally, not an issue of the hotel by any means, but THE NOISE from outside. It was a four-day weekend, so I don't know if it was particularly loud for that reason in this small town, but it was SO LOUD in the middle of the night. It sounded like we were at street level even though our room was on the top floor (4th floor - 3rd floor above the ground level). Every car that drove by, every noise by people partying. Unbelievable. ||Anyway, I've mostly written about the challenging things, and there were plenty of things, but I think that overall, the people are what make an establishment what it is, and these people are pure gold! FATAL EXPERIENCIA EN ESTE HOTEL No volveremos y por supuesto no lo recomendaremos a nadie. Reservamos una habitación triple para una noche con desayuno 150€ que había que pagar por adelantado no reembolsable y así lo hicimos, el incremento del desayuno eran 24€ por las 3 personas que éramos. Hicimos también una reserva para cenar allí esa misma noche. La habitación estaba limpia y correcta , estaba preparada para dos personas en lugar de para tres pero una chica muy amable que estaba limpiando otras habitaciones me la preparó enseguida muy amablemente , me dijo no me han avisado que eran ustedes 3 …. Sorpresa en la cena no tenían carta, nos atendió un chico agradable e inexperto que no tendría mas de 18 años ( no había nadie mas atendiendo el comedor) que nos dice que tenemos que elegir el primero y el segundo de un menú que nos trajo en un folio… el postre era helado de vainilla sin mas opciones… desecho por cierto… ósea una cena que dejó mucho que desear. La siguiente sorpresa vino por la mañana cuando bajamos a desayunar y ni rastro de desayuno y dos chicas muy jovencitas también no sabían nada de desayunos… ellas no sabían como resolver la situación las pobres ya que allí no había en ningún momento nadie responsable. El cocinero llegó porque ellas le llamaron y sin dar los buenos días se negó a hacernos una tristes tostadas para desayunar. Un señor mal educado desagradable. Exigimos a las pobres chicas la devolución de los 24€ del desayuno , ya que nos teníamos que marchar sin desayunar , llamaron por tlf supuestamente a un gerente que nunca vimos y después de una hora allí con una situación incomodísima nos dieron el dinero porque una señora que tomaba un café allí las aconsejo que nos lo dieran… increíble, en mi vida he ido a muchos hoteles y jamás me había encontrado con algo así. Un hotel atendido por chiquillos de no mas de 18 años sin nadie responsable de absolutamente nada. A la salida una de las chicas me pidió mi mail porque el gerente le dijo que nos mandaría un correo disculpándose de lo ocurrido y a dia de hoy todavía lo...

¡HOTEL/RESTAURANTE EXCLUSIVO EN LA ZONA!

En la zona de Hoyo de Pinares y alrededores no existe otra oferta turística tan completa como en el Restaurante y Hotel El Estanco.

Se trata de un antiguo edificio céntrico, restaurado y adaptado, que cuenta con todas las comodidades de un Hotel, decorado con mucho gusto, con una combinación a la perfección de lo rural con la estética moderna. Una vez que te alojas en este lugar con tanto encanto, es notable la calidad de los materiales y como se ha cuidado cada detalle.

Durante el tiempo que estuve alojado, mientras disfrutaba de varias rutas de senderismo, pude probar diferentes menús del día que ofrecen viernes, sábados, domingos y festivos. Una calidad/precio estupenda, con productos de la zona mayormente, aunque también disponen de otros de la gastronomía española. Además, cuentan con carta, sin ser necesario elegir siempre menú.

En definitiva, repetiré sin duda. Sentirse como en casa cuando sales a desconectar no es tan fácil y, además, sus gerentes ayudan a que sea posible con un trato excepcional y dispuestos a resolver cualquier incidencia. También te aconsejan sobre las diferentes actividades para disfrutar la zona.
