In July 2025 we visited Pinoso and stopped at La Taberna Del Miguel (under new management & the name has changed) for a Sunday roast. We sat inside and received a very prompt service from Sue .
We decided to have one course for 9.50€. There was a very good selection of starters including cod bites and onion rings. The same applied to desserts, which included baileys cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and ice-cream.
For the main there was a choice of lamb, beef, pork or turkey. I chose the lamb and my husband had the beef. The dinners were served with 3 roast potatoes, a yorkshire pudding and stuffing. There was a great selection of vegetables (carrots, peas, mash potatoes, sprouts, cauliflower and cabbage) which you choose as much as you like.
The vegetables were piping hot and freshly prepared. Both the lamb and beef were cooked perfectly and the homemade gravy was delicious. We had a perfect experience and we will definitely visit again when...
Read moreNever again. The standard of food at this place is terrible.... and at such a high price for sub-standard cooking. The meat was overcooked, dry and re-heated, the vegetables undercooked to the point of being almost raw, and the cauliflower cheese was terrible.... packet sauce over semi-raw cauliflower. We didn't complain because the friendly serving girls were young and likely to be embarrassed by any sort of awkward confrontation. The blame squarely lies with the owner.... who is in control of the kitchen. She calls herself a chef, but I've had better food cooked by my seven year old granddaughter....... no exaggeration. We will vote with our feet....... never to visit again. Shame as it's such a nice setting. Another venue ticked off the list. So difficult to get decent food around...

We enjoyed a bottle of chilled wine to complement our meal plus a cheeky g and t.... great ambiance, we can’t wait to go back.
