I've worked for 5 years in the restaurant sector and I never left a negative comment previously on any establishment as I understand how difficult is providing always an excellent service.
But now, I needed to leave one as this place have RUINED a family member's celebration, even the child's mother ended up crying.
Our experience at this place was extremely disappointing, EMBARRASSING IN ALL possible ways.
The meat seemed reheated, I would probably venture to say that it was from another previous event, or cooked in advance as the restaurant could not cope with the 3 events that were held on the same day. The turkey was in poor condition, with a nauseating smell, worthy of being evaluated by a health inspector. The starters were limited to bread with Canarian Mojo Picón sauce, and Just to small croquettes per person, the croquettes had good flavor though, as the bread also has... But the mojo was literally disgusting, so watery and old. Furthermore, the service was non-existent: there were too few waiters to serve all the diners in the room. The food (if we can call it that) arrived at the wrong time and chaotically around the room.
When the child's father complained, the waiters decided hiding their self in the kitchen. I am sure they knew the deplorable quality of everything . I don't blame them, I would have hidden too if I had to serve those dishes. The celebration cake was cut by the family members themselves.
There was a friendly waiter who made it easy for me to charge a beer with a card. His boss forced him to charge me because the overall payment had already been made. 1.5€ he was ashamed of taking the payment. I like his personal approach to me.
The set up of the table was perfect, a real shame to have so many cutlery for so...
Read moreReally nice Restaurant in the area of El Rosario (La Esperanza). Service was excellent, they found a place where we could be with our dog without disturbing the other customers (it is only allowed to be with dogs in open spaces in Spain), they were always there when we needed them without being too much. Food was excellent, we had a chuletón which you can grill yourself at the table, it is cut for you from the bone, so you can have it to your taste. We also had pimientos de padrón for starters and it came with fries and tomatoes, a bit much for 2 but we took the rest home :). Dessert was also delicious! Not cheap but worth it. The house wine and the mojo were very good too! We have been going again and again, it is one of our favorite places in La Esperanza; it is Open when we need it, has great food and service, allows our dog. I think it changed owners, but still good. A giant steak for 11,50€ is pretty good value! Though my favorite is picaña, tender delicious meet cut that you grill at the table. Quesillo was unfortunately...
No tienen vergüenza.
