During our recent visit to Menorca, we had the pleasure of dining at Ca Na Marga, an unforgettable culinary experience that we will cherish for years to come. This charming restaurant, helmed by a talented Argentine chef, truly stands out as a gastronomic gem on the island. From the moment we arrived, the chef's expertise and passion for quality meat were evident. He personally guided us through the menu, recommending the Simmental meat, a choice we will forever be grateful for. We decided on the Chuleton Simmental, and it was a revelation. The meat was so exquisitely tender that it practically melted in our mouths, requiring almost no effort to chew. It was, without a doubt, the best meat we've ever tasted. In addition to the Chuleton Simmental, we also indulged in the Croquetas de Queso Curado DOP Mahón. These delightful croquettes, bursting with rich, creamy cheese flavor, were the perfect complement to our meal. Ca Na Marga offers more than just exceptional food; it provides a complete dining experience that blends the chef's Argentine roots with the best of local ingredients. The ambiance, the service, and above all, the extraordinary quality of the dishes make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone in Menorca. Highly recommended dishes: **Chuleton Simmental** and **Croquetas de Queso Curado DOP Mahón**.

Just about our favourite restaurant in the whole of Menorca. In our family it is known as 'the steak restaurant'! The steaks are delicious. Thick and always perfectly cooked on the wood grill which is inside the main dining area. It's a friendly family place with a great atmosphere. We have been several times over the years. Last time we went we ordered 3 stakes which was more than enough to feed all 5 of us. It's a little off the beaten track on the main road between Fornells and Mahon. I recommend using a sat nav. You can book online and it's open from 7.30 most evenings. It's normally busy so definitely book to avoid being disappointed. As I said it's pretty isolated so there are not really any alternatives nearby if they can't fit you in. It's one of our go to places so highly recommend it.

We ate at this place twice. Both times the staff was very welcoming and kind. The food was delicous and of high quality, yet the prices were not super high. The first time I had calamares and then the lamb chops, the second time I had fried Gambas with a delicous alioli-wasabi sauce and a very yummy Burger. Great experience, I totally see myself going back to this restaurant.

From the very beginning, the experience was deeply disappointing. The lady in the orange dress did nothing more than call over another lady in black to seat us, and from that moment we were forgotten for almost forty minutes. No one came near our table until we had to actively call someone over to take our order.

When our food finally started to arrive, the situation only worsened. We were served our second dish before even receiving our drinks, which staff then had to rush to fetch at the last minute. The food itself arrived cold and had to be sent back. At every step the service failed us.

Yes, the restaurant was full, but that is no excuse for the complete lack of attention. What was most frustrating to witness were the two ladies at the entrance, arms folded, seemingly indifferent to the dining room and entirely unaware of what was happening at the tables. To see staff standing idle while service collapsed around them was unacceptable.

The food, when corrected, was good — but the service was so poor that it overshadowed everything else. Sadly, because of this I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I certainly will not be returning. The island has many other wonderful places to dine, and this one fell far below the standard one would reasonably expect.

In fairness, they did invite us to two dishes as an apology, which was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated. However, such basic faults in service are difficult to overlook, and despite that attempt to make amends, I still cannot...

To be clear from the outset, in comparison to most places in Menorca, this is set apart. It is trying, and it is worth a visit. However, the food is not unbelievable, but the prices do head in that direction by comparison.

Steak on the grill? Yes please. My steak did have a large section of cartilage and fat, and the cut for a rib-eye was not very rib-eye. Half of the meat was very rare, and the other half was medium rare as ordered. Being someone that will eat meat regardless, it was eaten, and I’ve had far worse. But for the price I would expect a better cut, and to be cooked just right. The octopus starter was I think fresh, I did ask in advance and was told it was, but I’m not totally convinced, grilled nicely though. The pork belly in this dish was over cooked and had started to get a bit woody, the potatoes were on the verge of cold. The cheese croquettes were very good, but could have arrived hotter, but that was minor and they were hot. The salad was not great, slimy asparagus and beans wrinkly and dry, dressed in some kind of curry. Avoidable.

For a restaurant that appeared to be fine-dining-ish online, it did feel like a bit of a disappointment overall.

The highlight was the staff. Lovely, welcoming, patient and a credit to the restaurant....
