The little cove was stunning with just one restaurant. We were a family of 6 from the UK with two small children ages 4 and 6. The staff at this restaurant seated us at a table of only 5 is extreme sunlight with temperatures at over 35 degrees, even though there were many tables in the shade for small tired children. We were left waiting for 40 minutes without a waiter approaching our table! A waiter walked past without eye contact, but I stopped him to enquire why we hadn't been served with either drinks, or a menu! He said a waiter will be along shortly. The heat was so intense, after a further wait of 20 minutes and watching waiters totally ignore our waving hands we decided to leave! No one approached us! It was extremely racists towards us as a family from the UK, who were happy to spend our Euros just like the Spanish! I was disgusted with their behaviour! PLEASE, if you visit this beautiful cove DO NOT visit this restaurant! I guarantee you will NOT get served if you...

I have not eaten at the restaurant in a long time so I am not reviewing the restaurant here, but from what I remember last time it is very expensive for what you get AND the atmosphere just doesn’t match the prices. If you just want a drink or ice cream from the bar you now need to order on the McDonalds style touchscreens which I think is a bit of a shame really and the music coming from Es Pop feels like you’re in a nightclub which I think is a bit distasteful, and doesn’t go with the inflated prices. Another couple of things to note….there are flies everywhere in the bar area which doesn’t make it so pleasant, and the toilets for the bar aren’t signposted at all and you need a key, plus there was no soap when I used them. I’m not sure if the restaurant side has separate toilets though, I...
Read moreI was in the “resturant” for lunch, we had to wait to sit down for 30 minutes with half of the restaurant and tables empty… the employees were trying to make the guest behind me pass in the line just because they were Spanish , they spoke to them and didn’t care that I was there before and was in front, by the way the Spanish guests didn’t have reservation…. Once we sat down the waiter was non nice, just like the food and we waited for 20 minutes to have the water … we spent 40€ per person and 2 of us hade problems during the day and the day after digesting the food. Horrible experience… the next day we were in the same beach and went to the restaurant on the opposite side of the beach, Meloussa, which had very good food and was very fast in finding us a table and serving the food. If you come to Arenal Son Saura go...
