I've been here before and thought it's about time I went again. The lady that took all our orders was very friendly and always smiling(I didn't get her name), she was very efficient in her role. We called in on Friday, and they had a 'Happy Hour' (4pm-6pm) in which there were 50% off a good selection of drinks. So, whilst drinking our wine, we could smell and see all this beautiful presented food coming out of the open kitchen and decided to order from the Two 4 One menu (6pm-9pm) these offers are only on Fridays! Anyway, my girlfriend had the cod with new potatoes and veg, the fish was chunky and cooked well 👌🏽and the veg was perfect. I had chicken breast with chorizo and new potatoes and veg, chicken was nice, not dry at all, and the chorizo was very tasty, not full of fat like some places. I asked the waitress if she did liqueur coffees, to which she said yes, and I said I hope it's with real cream and not the squirty cream. To my excitement, she said yes, real cream. 😃 This coffee was to die for, so when I told her it was perfect, she said I've never been under pressure so much doing a liqueur coffee ha ha I will definitely be coming back again soon, and I highly recommend you come and try it too.
Well done to all the staff, and we'll see you soon....
Read moreI consider myself extremely fortunate to have discovered this place by chance on a hot afternoon as I was walking from the town of Estepona to my B and B in the hills above. An initial thirst quenching Guinness was followed by repeat visits over the following three days either for a midday drink or an evening meal and sometimes both!
This place had everything I could ask for in my short stay from a range of drinks that included draft beers and fruity cocktails, to meals that were poetry in every mouthful, a TV showing sports inside, an eclectic soundtrack of classic hits from the past 40 years and a very very helpful and friendly staff who knew exactly how to make what I would call a world-class cappuccino!
I did my best to work my way through the menu in just three days, but I must come again to finish off my ambition to do so.
Good luck to you all, you really deserve...
Read moreIt's not often you find a hidden gem down here these days. However as much as I don't want to share what we have found, I think I need the tell you about The Sun Inn. Menu del dia excellent value and quality, not your usual pasta and plato combinado. This week's menu didn't excite me but I gave it a try, you guys rock! Excellent pate and toast followed by beautiful ham in parsley sauce. My wife's baked cod and smashed potato looked amazing.
After 25 years here at last someone gets the combination right, you want English food they have it, prefer more Spanish it's on the menu too. All of this with staff that actually look like they care!
So everyone please do not visit this place, I don't want to share it with anyone! The future's bright, the future is The Sun Inn,...
