Reply to Franco: My dear Franco, you are blaming me not knowing you but judging. Well, the same I can give as return, you don't know me. Let me explain why I believe that your answer to my yesterday's experience is simply unappropriate at all.

1. I was not waiting 2 minutes and yes, I stayed at the entrance, well visible with my family as I respected you serving your guests. I have no problem with that. But after multiple two minutes I would have expected that somebody telling us that you won't accept more guests or making eye contact with signalling, please wait a bit longer or just shaking the head. But I beleive NO GUEST or HUMAN at least deserves to be ignored. I could of course have marched in, get into your way and ask for a table. I didn't because I respected you were busy. However, the 10 seconds to tell us wait, nodding or shaking the head were there. But you even turned around a few times being just 2m away from us. This is unrespectful, in my world at least. Maybe it is an old fashioned one.
2. You are alleging me to not know about culinaric or guest management. How you know? In reality I've run several restaurants, bars around the world. I know very well how to run a business, coincidently also won several awards. But I never became so proud that I wasn't treating everyone the same. The poor, the homeless, the rich, the old, the young. I always respect people the same way as they respect me. Believe me, why I was waiting in such a position is simply the result out of it. Visible, but out of the way. Think about it.
3. I was not lazy soaking sun at the pool all day. I work as well in Mallorca, not just but also run a business here. Working 10 hours a day? I have that for 25 years now, sometimes with even weekends where I don't come home for days. I lack to see my family for many times, serving customers. And sometimes, yes sometimes I go out to seek a new restaurant as I love to explore things. Then I would have expected to be be seen at least.

That's it. Don't hate your customers or work as you obviously do. They help you make your living. If not, a closed guest group also works, but keep it announced so we all now.

Eating the main course (schnitzel) brought back memories of my childhood; simply laid out & unbeatably tasty “home made” food. No pretentiousness - just a wholesome, tasty, generous portion of amazing food. The Iberican pork ribs were also fantastic and will be my main course the next time I go :-)

Deserts are also made in-house and this is reflected in the excellent taste and quality.

Cas Concos itself is a very quaint little village and though it was raining on this occasion, the next time we will have a nice walk around after dinner.

Restaurant Viena - Cas Concos

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, im Restaurant Viena in Cas Concos zu speisen, und es war eine wahrlich bemerkenswerte Erfahrung. Von der ersten Minute an strahlt das Restaurant eine warme, einladende Atmosphäre aus. Die Einrichtung ist modern und stilvoll, dabei aber auch gemütlich, was für eine entspannte Atmosphäre sorgt. Die Beleuchtung und das geschmackvolle Dekor machen das Ambiente perfekt und lassen einen sofort wohlfühlen.

Das Highlight ist natürlich das Essen! Die Küche ist eine gelungene Mischung aus mediterranen und internationalen Einflüssen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf hochwertigen, frischen Zutaten liegt. Ich hatte die Gelegenheit, mehrere Gerichte zu probieren, und jedes davon war hervorragend zubereitet und raffiniert gewürzt. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Tapas – kreativ und vielseitig, dabei perfekt auf den Punkt zubereitet. Das zarte Rinderfilet waren sensationell, und die Desserts rundeten das Menü auf besonders süße Weise ab. Ein großes Lob an den Küchenchef, der hier mit viel Liebe zum Detail arbeitet.

Auch der Service verdient eine Erwähnung: Das Personal war freundlich, professionell und äußerst aufmerksam. Die Empfehlungen der Kellner waren hervorragend, und wir fühlten uns während des gesamten Besuchs bestens umsorgt, ohne dass es jemals aufdringlich wirkte. Die Weinkarte bietet eine sorgfältige Auswahl lokaler und internationaler Weine, die perfekt auf das Menü abgestimmt sind.

Insgesamt bietet das Restaurant Viena in Cas Concos eine kulinarische Erfahrung, die in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt. Wer auf Mallorca unterwegs ist und nach einem besonderen Restaurant sucht, dem kann ich das Viena nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hier stimmt einfach alles – Ambiente, Service und natürlich das Essen.
