We were in the hotel for a whole 14 days (honeymoon) and were able to get an impression:
The first star goes to Sita and Jaume who prepared a small but nice breakfast from monday- friday. There was a lovley buffet and eggs on request. Sita and Jaume did everything for the guests and every time with a sincere smile and good humor. Sita is already the soul in the hotel and does everything for the guests - there is no one else. More about this later.
The second star is for the great location of the hotel. The garden is well kept, it is quiet and it is just a green paradise to relax. The rooms were ok. Bed was confortable and the terass was uge.
There is no one at the reception. With eight rooms, I can understand why they are not staffed 24/7..but mornings during breakfast time would be appropriate so guests have someone to talk to.
The receptionist Laura was seen three times in the 14 days. On the door of the hotel there is a number, in the e-mail address there is a number and in the info book in the hotel there is also a number. to call. With a lot of luck you can reach Laura (receptionist). Our flush from the toilet did not work, so we had to take the toilet at the reception partially, and the women's toilet was defective. We reported this directly. No one took care of it. We then asked Laura again in the second week. The mail was answered two days later and there was no concession. Also with the last mail, whether one would not like to come for the circumstances to us, until today no reaction. A cheek!!! Likewise, the hot water failed several times in the 14 days In May, the weather was actually not as warm as hoped for, and after long walks and before going out to eat, you want to thirst warm. Often we had to warm up then with the hairdryer. This was also complained. No concession. It was simply ignored by Laura!
At the weekend, temporary workers (gardeners, caretakers or something) took care of the breakfast. They were inherently friendly, but it was noisy and chaotic. So there was no need to relax.
Speaking of dinner!!! THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE IS INCORRECT: The restaurant in the hotel has been closed since last year. Even though we had a car at the time, the restaurant was one of the reasons why we chose the hotel. We found out the info on the first evening. The breakfast times on the website are not correct either. They are from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The pool service for drinks specified on the website does not exist either. You book a service that is promised on the website and only get half of it plus poor support.
The maintenance in the hotel also leaves a lot to be desired. The towel rail in the bathroom almost fell off, there is mold on the walls, sand and dust from previous guests can be found in the corners. The remote control was broken,, the plaster is coming off the ceiling, the loungers by the pool are getting old... which was still acceptable for us. The hotel is from 1919. Of course it is badly soundproofed. It's an old building, BUT the doors are so warped that you can't open or close them without using force and strength. So you don't need to set the alarm clock for breakfast :)
The hotel has so much potential. We were able to overlook a lot, but Laura's lack of care and ignorance really annoyed us. Regardless of the price, I think hot water and a working flush should be a given. We can't recommend it for more than 2-3 nights!
Note: the staff only speaks Spanish. Since I can speak Spanish, it helped a lot in terms of communication...
Read moreAfter a nice morning at the beach, we were on the search for an activity away from the crowds and other tourists. We took a chance on Hort Sant Patrici not having any set expectations. We were beyond pleased to say the least. The food, staff and wine were all excellent. Well beyond what you would expect at any winery or restaurant on an island. I had the mussels, the entrecôte, and panacotta (three course meal) and my partner had the beef carpaccio, baby squid and white chocolate mouse (another three course). I would rate all six dishes in the 85%+ range. We also had the blanco, merlot and rose wines, similarly we also ranked these highly. All wines were quite distinct in their own way, I’ll let you decide on your own aficionado terms to use for your experience should you decide to have one at the restaurant at Hort Sant Patrici, but I’ll use just two universal terms...”great value for money” and...
Read moreOh dear.. poor Anne-Kirsten obviously didn't do her research into the opening times. Hort San Patrici is not only an idyllic location, so serene and peaceful, but also a lovely hotel with the most delicious 3 course meal (this coming from a foodie with high standards and who is pretty particular with food). Staff were excellent, ate the most delicious grilled calamari and mussels, and the wines (I tried the white, rose and red (merlot with a decadent nose) and great views along with it. Can't ask for more (for €27 - 3 course). We did not do the tasting as tasting hours (as stated very clearly on google, their website and sign at entrance state) are up until 1pm and from 4pm (more limited at weekends as it's a hotel), but the restaurant is open...
