A Hidden Gem in Formentera del Segura – Restaurante Finca La Vuelta
Since discovering Restaurante Finca La Vuelta in October 2022, we’ve returned time and again, drawn in by its undeniable charm and exceptional dining experience. Nestled in the heart of Formentera del Segura, this restaurant offers a unique blend of rustic elegance and warm hospitality, making it a standout destination in any season.
The ambiance is both inviting and refineda rustic, barn-like setting adorned with crisp white linens and soft cloth napkins, striking the perfect balance between countryside charm and understated luxury.
The menu follows a Table D’hôtel format, offering a three-course meal with a variety of delectable choices. Priced at €34.50 per person, it’s outstanding value for the quality served. During our most recent visit on Saturday, we began with the Pulled Pork and Beef Carpaccio (supplement €4.50), both bursting with flavour. For our mains, we indulged in the Surf & Turf and Fillet Steak, each with a well-justified €8.50 supplement, and every bite was worth it.
A delightful surprise was the complimentary seafood soup served between courses, rich, aromatic, and utterly delicious. To finish, we savoured the Cheese Plate and Crème Brûlée (both with supplements), which were the perfect finale to an impeccable meal.
What truly sets Finca La Vuelta apart is its exceptional service. The owners are deeply involved, ensuring every guest feels valued, and their warm recognition of returning patrons adds a personal touch. The staff, many of whom have been there for years, contribute to the welcoming atmosphere. A special mention goes to Elana, our favourite server, whose radiant smile and attentive service make every visit even more enjoyable.
If there’s one minor drawback, it’s the narrow access road, which can be tricky when encountering oncoming traffic. However, this small inconvenience is quickly forgotten once you step inside and experience the magic of this restaurant.
Restaurante Finca La Vuelta is more than just a meal - it’s a culinary retreat that keeps us coming back. Highly recommended for anyone seeking exquisite food, impeccable service, and an unforgettable...
Read moreWent to this place 18/4/22 for an evening stay and food. It was my 60th birthday and we had taken my parents away for the night also. My review is a bit of both positive and negative. When arriving there is no reception area we just called one of the staff who were cleaning up the outside area. She took us to our accommodation which was very nice. Other than no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. In covid times this was not good. There were 3 sachets of shampoo on the sink only. My parents room had pool towels but our room didn’t. Nice pool area with 8 beds and a very wet and dirty seating area. The lounge for us to use was absolutely beautifully decorated there was a fridge with beers wines and soft drinks. No spirits which was disappointing for me. You could have any of the drinks but had to pay. There was an area for tea and a coffee with a machine but when my dad went to make a cup of tea the following morning there was no milk. Disappointed again. No phones in your room to contact anyone. Our evening of food and entertainment was ok. Food very nice 4 courses. Entertainment was ok the sound system kept failing. Drinks very expensive 8euros 50 for an espresso martini which was awful. Problems with our gin orders brought vodka and fresh orange instead of orange gin and tonic. Contacted the property to see what time we could arrive but had no reply. My husband also emailed to say it was my birthday 60th and asked if they could have the artist to sing. This didn’t happen. My husband apologised to me as other evening guests had happy birthday sung to them. Our breakfast in the morning which was advertised as bed and breakfast ended up costing us 14.95 euros per person All in all was good. But would not return as it’s the little thinks make or break...
Read moreExtremely dissatisfied with their lack of customer service. Before making the booking for a table of 6 people several days ago, we called to asked if you allow dogs on the terrace to which you said yes, however the weather forecast showed it may be rainy this weekend so better if we book but call before we arrive to check, so we know if we can dine outside with our dogs, or leave them at home.
We called you 40 min before our reservation to ask and you said terrace is open so no problem. We drove the 30 min to your restaurant and arriving it was rainy and I went in alone to speak with you. The first question I got when arriving is “you’re Dutch right?” To which I said no. British? I said no I’m Danish, not really understanding what my nationality has to do with anything.
I then said we’ve booked a table for 6 with two dogs on the terrace and was told in a very rude tone by the lady (not the person I had on the phone) that dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant (or any other restaurant in Spain for that matter. When telling her that I called 40 min ago to ask to if the terrace was open, I was not told any sorry but simply “I’m a restaurateur not a weather man”. I was offered no apology and only a very aggressive lady - I even asked her why she was being so angry with me when I was just trying to eat.
Upon walking away, I saw inside the dining room and a table with a dog! I pointed this out before I left. Let me get one thing straight, I am not dissatisfied with the fact that you don’t allow dogs inside the restaurant but the extremely rude treatment by your front of house staff and the fact that we called to asked, was told yes no problem, drive with 6 people for 30 min only to be...
