My favourite restaurant here in Fortuna - and most people agree with that. The price has stayed the same in the 7 years we have been here and personally you get your monies worth. The menu doesn't change much but there's a good selection so I don't get bored with it. We always have the menu del dia but there is an a la carte if you prefer. Plenty to drink included in the price of 12 Euro. When we have visitors staying, we always take them to Puerta Grande and every single one of them says it's their favourite and they want to return before going home to Scotland. Oh what an amazing place firstly the staff friendly. Food I have to say 10/10 we loved the fact we were not rushed everything we ordered was cooked to a high standard I had lamb my husband had the chicken from our starter to our coffees was served with a professionalism although masks was worn by staff you can tell if someone is smiling and they were we will be back. We came to La Puerta Grande for our final meal out and it was gorgeous! Through my very little Spanish and the waiter’s very good English (and a bit of Google Translate) we were able to order a feast of tapas. The service is great and it’s a hit with the locals - and was recommend to us by two ex-pats. Our whole feast, including 3 alcoholic drinks, came to just under 50€ and it was worth every penny.
