This was an extremely special meal and experience! what started as me booking for 4 of us, soon turned into 11 pilgrims all together - José was so welcoming and happy to have us there. Although there only appeared to be himself and one other person in the kitchen, food came quickly and was just exquisite! We were blown away by the serving sizes, very generous - if it had not been so tasty then we would have saved some for lunch the next day, but it was just too delicious. We are vegan / gf and by far had the best meals, a HUGE plate of seasoned, grilled vegetables and salad, everything we wanted and needed. Everyone’s meals looked fresh and home cooked. Wine was amazing, we had fruit for dessert but homemade rice pudding was on the menu for non - vegans. There was a lot of pride clearly going into the food. José even bought out home made Baileys style liquor, and a different liquor for us vegans, to say salud/cheers - such a nice ending! Honestly can’t describe how nice this was, I wish we could give more stars!!! Luna,...

Best meal on the Camino! Restaurant was full when we arrived not long after opening, but as we weren’t in a rush we sat up at the bar with drinks to wait. The manager/owner went out of his way to accomodate us with meals at the bar, as well as many other pilgrims on tables outside even though they weren’t doing table service outside. The staff’s interactions with customers were friendly, with only two staff to take orders, pour drinks, run meals, clear tables and take payments etc- just an amazing effort when so busy. The meals- well they speak for themselves. We ordered 2 x ribs and 1 x salmon- fresh and delicious with even the fussy eater in our group finishing her meal. Was a great experience after a very hot day...

Hands down the best meals I have had on the Camino! The plates for the pilgrim menu are beautiful, tasty, and enormous. I had to take a rest day in Frómista, and ate here both nights. If you are craving veggies, the roasted vegetarian platter is delish, and my second night I had the pork ribs which were stellar. This is a family-run restaurant with a husband and wife team serving 50+ people. They work their tails off, and put so much love into their food it will sustain you for miles and miles! This is not a place to rush your dinner: enjoy the patio and the view of San Pedro’s church, sip your drink, talk with your friends, and enjoy the food as it comes. You will not be...

This place fully deserves the 5 stars. Would give it 6 stars if I could. A gigantic plate of salad and roasted veggies: an absolute dream meal for vegetarians. It was honestly too big to finish; could’ve easily split it between two people. The housemade rice pudding for dessert was also divine. Owner(?) was very friendly and welcoming despite juggling numerous tables. Cute decor inside. Come right at 6PM - they are popular and fill up fast! Pilgrim’s menu is 14 euros.

such a special place! we had an amazing camino birthday dinner for 30 people. bbq ribs, salmon, chicken, morcillas, patatas bravas, salad, wine, and more. all wonderful tasting 👌 our hosts, Jose and Andi are incredible souls! so accommodating and lovely hosting our last minute pilgrim party. I can't appreciate them enough ❤️ plus, they have food starting at 6pm, offer the menu in different languages, and Jose is just the best (as a fellow pilgrim himself) 😍
