A group of 23 ladies who lunch had a really great afternoon at Pizzeria Alacena in Freila. Bea and the rest of the staff coped very well with the group, many had pizzas, some had salads and myself and a few others had lamb cutlets. All extremely tasty. In fact my friend and I shared a Goats Cheese Salad to start, it was wonderful. We then followed with the lamb. As everything is cooked to order, some folk had a bit of a wait for their pizzas, but no-one minded and it was worth waiting for. It was a very hot afternoon, but the terrace is under shade and there were misters too. Pizzería Alacena is a particular favourite of ours (my husband & me). We stop off occasionally for small pizza at lunchtime. Always freshly made, cooked and very tasty. Prices are very reasonable - Goats cheese salad - 10€ - Lamb cutlets - 16€ - Soft drinks & beers - 2.50€ Pizzas from around 7€ All in all, a great meal, super friendly staff and we most definitely will be back

We found this delightful restaurant as we had visitors and they are vegan. This restaurant had vegan recommendations. We are not vegan and we all enjoyed the ordered salads and pizzas after ordering our drinks and being given lovely tortilla tapas. There is seating outside in the sunshine and outside in a shaded area along with seats in the lovely bar area that is nicely decorated. Lovely friendly staff. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired traditional oven. Apart from delicious pizzas there are other options but there isn't a menu of the day. Parking in the street close by. Really nice clean toilets with soap and paper to dry your hands and a toilet seat!! We certainly will go again and further explore Freila.

What a find!! Having vegan relatives visiting I saw a recommendation for Pizzeria Alacena from a year ago, with the words that they 'will do pizza without cheese, or vegan cheese if they have it.' So... we went for lunch today. We were so pleasantly surprised to see what a lovely looking restaurant we entered after the beautiful drive from the main dual carriageway between Murcia and Granada. Then it just got better and better with the lovely lady that served us. Nothing was a problem. They very kindly did a vegan salad - not on the menu, followed by a vegan pizza. Us non-vegans loved the tortilla tapa followed by a delicious Italian style pizza cooked in the wood fired oven, along with a perfect (breaded chicken) Caesar salad. The ladies toilets got a ten out of ten, something rare in this area of about a 50 km radius where often you won't find soap, a toilet seat, toilet paper or something to dry your hands on. The outside seating options were nice too and we had no trouble finding street parking. Note: They closed at 15:30 today, so don't leave it too late to arrive. Highly recommended!! We...
