El Volcán de El Hierro is a culinary gem. This small restaurant captures the essence of local flavors, offering an authentic and unforgettable dining experience.

The menu is a celebration of the island's rich bounty, featuring dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

The wine list exclusively features selections from El Hierro’s vineyards, providing a unique opportunity to savor the island’s distinct varietals. Our server recommended a superb white wine that paired excellently with our meal.

Service at El Volcán de El Hierro is warm and personable. The staff's genuine passion for the food and the island’s culture shines through, making the experience even more enjoyable.

El Volcán de El Hierro is not just a place to eat but a celebration of El Hierro’s culinary heritage. Every dish is a testament to the island's flavors, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the true taste of the Canary Islands. Highly...

The place is a bit hidden from the main road, but very beautiful. The service was very kind and attentive. The food however felt a bit overrated. The garlic shrimps were the best from what they served, but still not impressive. however the pulpo had a strange olde oil taste and were not very soft. The croquetas were more dough, than fish, a bit sticky, but the taste was ok. The chipirones had an old smell and tasted not very good. I couldn't eat more than one even with the lemon on top. And, finally, the T-bone, was young meat, not very well kept, very chewy and hard to eat. And not an amazing taste. Which was quite sad as we took two big T-bones for 4 people and couldn't finish even one. Might be the butchers' fault, but maybe the restaurant should look for a better meat provider. And yet, I will mention again that is a lovely place to pass by once for a drink and maybe a snack and enjoy the location, but wouldn't recommend it...

Spotted the sign by accident and decided to give it a try. The setting is really nice with beautiful gardens. The menu is limited but covers salads, fish, meat, pasta etc. We had spring rolls to start which for me were quite large. Followed this with a recommended fish baked in the over and dressed with olive oil and baked vegetables. The fish was fresh and delicious. The house wine was local and very pleasing. We had tiramisu for dessert which was made by the waitress and I must admit it was one of the best I have ever had. John our waiter was very helpful with the menu and I was more than surprised at the price for the quality of food we received. Would highly recommend giving this...

Found by pure chance. Very welcoming environment and surroundings, relaxed and friendly atmosphere (under a roof made from leaves), we immediately got a table for a late lunch (or early dinner - middle of the afternoon). The menu is relatively short and has some surprises (spring rolls and gyoza as starters? Cheesecake and brownies for dessert?), but everything was delicious. The main (yellow fin tuna medallions with vegetables mix) was very good. There is a short but good wine list with (mostly?) local wines. We felt very welcome. If anything - there's no coffee, so if you were hoping for one along with dessert, you might be disappointed. But the rest makes more than up for it. Gracias!
