Mendi Ona jatetxea, Sodupeko Batzokia — Restaurant in Güeñes

Probably the only restaurant in the whole of Spain I have been to where quality, service and atmosphere all are on par. This menu del día was AMAZING. 13€, an incredible choice, top quality ingredients and unbelievably fast service. We went in at 12.30pm and reserved a table in the salon for 13.30. We had ensalada y manzana asado con foie, sopa de verduras con pan crujiente and costillas y dorada for main. For dessert homemade cheesecake and some amazing caramelised creation I don't even know what it was! All included in price, as well as two rations of bread and a bottle of red wine and gaseosa. Thank you to the waiter for being so efficient and friendly and helpful and to the chefs because you obviously take pride in the food...

Herriko bikote bat gara. Etxe azpian daukagu jatetxe hau eta duela 2 urte gure lehenengo bisita egin genuen, 2019ko abuztuak 10, herriko jaiak. Egun zoragarria izan zen. Pandemia etorri eta bizitza aldrebestu zitzaigun guztioi. Gaur berriz bueltatu gara, 2021eko irailaren 19an. Ederra benetan dana, giroa, beti bezala, etxean egotea lez. Janaria....HITZIK GABE!! EDERRA benetan! 15 euro bakoitzeko, asteburuko menua. Etxeko janaria... Gure menua:

1. arroza barazkitxoekin
2. makailua piperrekin
3. etxeko natilak

Nire bikotearen menua:

1. entsalada templada (gulak, onddoak eta fruitu lehorrak)
2. hirugiarrez eta datilez betetako txahal "redondo'
3. gazta pastela "fluido" (etxekoa)

Familia ekarriko dugu eta DUDARIK GABE ERREPIKATUKO DUGULA!!!!!

Somos una pareja del pueblo. Tenemos el restaurante debajo de casa y hace 2 años estuvimos comiendo por primera vez, 10 de agosto de 2019, fiestas patronales. Fue un día maravilloso. Llegó la pandemia y nos trastocó la vida a todos por completo. Hoy hemos vuelto, 19 de septiembre de 2021. Estupendo, de veras, el ambiente, como siempre, tal y como en casa. La comida... ¡SIN PALABRAS! ¡INCREÍBLE, de verdad! 15 euros, menú de fin de semana. Comida casera... Nuestro menú:

1. arroz cremoso con verduritas
2. bacalao con pimientos
3. natillas caseras

El menú de mi pareja:

1. ensalada templada (gulas, setas y frutos secos)
2. redondo de ternera relleno de dátiles y bacón. 3)pastel fluido de queso (casero)

Absolutely stunning food. Had a Menu del dia for 13e and it’s honestly one of the best menu’s I’ve had in the 6 years of living in Spain. The food is brilliant, really good quality produce and well presented. Most importantly the perfect size, not too small and not too much. Really great little spot.
